Smt.Shanmugathai w/o Subedar M.Ramiah , being explained about the short payment by our Liaison Officer Sgt.S.Kanthiah.SUBEDAR’S WIFE GETTING SEPOY ‘S WIFE PENSION
On our persistent efforts, we came to know that a widow of a Subedar, was being paid pension of a Sepoy’s wife.
Her full particulars are:
Name: Smt.Shanmugathai W/O Late M.Ramiah No; JC 110290 L, Rank: Subedar,
Group; ‘B’ Record Office: E M E. Date of Death of pensioner: 23-9-1997.
PPO.No; S/ 060984/86 AND S/CORR/109044/86
PDA: Canara Bank, Sankarankovil, Tirunelveli-Dist, Tamil Nadu.
Pension being paid – Basic-3500/-
On verifying the available pension papers and the Bank pass book, we noticed that the Rank of deceased was Subedar, Group=B, and was being paid pension at the rate of Rs.3500/-. But as per the Annexure-III of CDA Circular 397, the Family pension for Sub- Gp. ‘B’ is 4770/-
The discrepancy was reported to the branch Manager immediately. He was kind enough to accept our findings and the submission. He promised to revise the pension and pay the arrears in this month itself .
The widow pensioner was very much happy and expressed her gratitude for such a help .
