Our Chief Liaison Officer Sgt.S.Kanthiah is handing over both the Pension papers , after verification to the Happy aged Veteran M.Sudalaimuthu Thevar.TWO ADDITIONAL PENSIONS FOR TWO DIFFERENT TYPE OF PENSIONS
It was a happy occation that during our continued efforts in helping the veterans, we found that one Sepoy Sudalaimuthu Thevar was drawing TWO pensions, one from Defence, and the other from Central Civil.

As his date of birth was 23-10-1928, he had completed 80 yrs of age in 23-10-2008, hence eligible for an additional pension of 20% on both the pension.
We contacted both the PDAs and informed the eligibility and the PDAs were kind enough to effect the Additional pension from 1-10-2008 and paid the arrears.
The aged veteran called on us and expressed his sincere gratitude for this valuable service and prayed for good health of the Trust members to serve more.
This is the FIRST case of DOUBLE ADDITIONAL PENSION in our area and we are very happy in helping the aged veteran.
