ANOTHER 76 YRS OLD VETERAN HELPED FOR ENDORSEMENT OF FAMILY PENSION

It was noticed during scrutinizing the available Pension Papers, that there was no Family Endorsement . Also he joined in service at the age of 14.5 yrs.

We took immediate steps for filling up the required Appendix –I, Annexure-II and Additional Information and requested the PDA to forward the same to MEG record office.

We have also written to MEG record Office , for counting the Boys service of 2 yrs for pension purpose.

The aged couple were very happy and thanked us for this immediate voluntary service .

Our Trust is satisfied in extending a helping hand to this kind of aged veterans..

ONE MORE SERGEANT HELPED FOR

ENDORSEMENT OF FAMILY PENSION

On our previous Pensioners meet, it was noticed that there was no Joint Notification available in the PPO of one Ex.Sgt.M.Chellaiah.

His partuiculars are :

Discharged in 1970

PPO: S/ 012978/70 and S/CORR/057074/10

PDA; State Bank of India, Tirunelveli Town, Tirunelveli-Dist, Tamil Nadu.

We initiated all the formalities , filling up Appendix-I, Annexure-II and Additional information and sent to Air Force Record Office.

But it was returned with queries and it was re-submitted after rectification. After a series of correspondence for about one year, the AFRO has sent now the Joint Notification vide Corrigendum PPO No: S/ CORR/057074/10.

Sgt.M.Chelliaih and his wife called on us and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for all the efforts put forth by the Trust for getting the Endorsement of Family pension done at this age of 69.

Dear veteran brothers, please advise pre-1985 retirees in your areas, to verify and apply for Endorsement of Family pension immediately if not done. It is very very important.

LONG AWAITED CIRCULAR RELEASED BY CDA

CDA(P) CIRCULAR NO.456 ON SPECIAL FAMILY PENSION, LIBERALISED FAMILY PENSION, DISABILITY PENSION AND WAR INJURY PENSION AWARDS.




IMPLEMENTATION INSTRUCTIONS ISSUED ON CASUALTY AWARDS

In continuation of our post dated 23rd Mar 2011, the long awaited implementation instructions issued now for revised casualty/disability/war injury awards for pre 2006 retirees based on post 2006 pay scales by CDA(P) Allahabad.

The CDA(P) Circular No.456 can be accessed and downloadedby clicking here. All welfare Associations may go through this circular again and again and guide the pensioners and banks for speedy disbursal of the arrears.

ONE MORE YOUNG WIDOW PENSIONER HELPED.

EXTENSION PERIOD OF ENHANCED RATE OF FAMILY PENSION

We came to know that one widow pensioner was drawing Enhanced Rate of Family pension

From 19—3-2003. Her husband died in harness.

Her full particulars are:

Died in Service on 18-3-2003

Record Office: Secunderabad.

PDA: SBI, Kovilpatti, Tuticorin Dsit- Tamil Nadu.

PPO.No: F/ NA/ 3143/2004

As per the original PPO. The Enhanced Rate of family pension is being paid from 19-3-2003 for 7 years.

Now, as per VI th Pay commission, the Period of Enhanced Rate of Family pension is increased to 10yrs from 7 yrs with effect from 1-1-2006 for this kind of pensioners, that is, died in service cases. As such, this widow is eligible for ERFP for 10 yrs.from 19-3-2003 to 18-3-2013.

We have taken up this matter with EME Record Office for arranging issuance of Revised PPO for the extension period.

One copy of the letter was handed over to the pensioner..

The widow pensioner was very happy and thanked for this voluntary help .

This is the 3rd such case we have arranged for extension period of ERFP.

YET ANOTHER 80YRS AND ABOVE WIDOW PENSIONER HELPED- THE 20TH CASE.

ONE MORE 80YRS OLD WIDOW PENSIONER HELPED -

The viewers of our blog have come to know our sincere efforts and services.

One widow Smt.Kamuthammal from Ayyampalayam wanted to confirm the correctness of her pension .

Particulars are:

Name: Smt.Kamuthammal W/O Late Sub. Veerappa Naidu, Group-E No: I.O.28420

Record Office: Signals PPO.No: F/NA/Pre-64/ 2690/87

PDA: State Bank of India, Ayyampalayam, Dindigul Dist, Tamil Nadu.

On verifying the pension papers, we noticed that she is wife of a SUB, Gp-E. Her pension is not revised as per Annexure-III of CDA Cir 397, Rankwise . Then , her age as on 1999 was 69 and hence she has completed 80Yrs of age on 1-1-2010, thus eligible for an additional pension, also.

We have reported the discrepancies to the Branch Manager , SBI, Ayyampalayam and their CPPC at Chennai for early revision and payment of additional pension.

The widow has thanked us for this help and send a photograph for publication.

This is the 20 th case of Additional pension.

Parliament Committee on defence Recommends One Rank One Pension once again


Dear Veterans,

1. While the Govt continues to deny our legitimate demand of OROP, we have been relentlessly endevaouring to continue exploring all options to make the Govt see reason and grant us our due demand. To get the All Party Standing Committee on Defence, reiterate its recommendation on OROP in its report, we have been following it up with Shri Satpalji Maharaj, MP, and Chairman Standing Committee on Defence. In this connection please refer to our enclosed letters.
2. The Standing Committee in its report tabled in the Parliament on 24 Mar 2011, has once again recommended OROP. It has also recommended setting up of a National Commission for EX-Servicemen. Sh Satpal Ji Maharaj has very kindly sent the Press Release on the report through email to the undersigned which is enclosed.
3. Friends, echoes have started gaining momentum. What is required now is “A Strong United Movement by Armed Forces Veterans”. We, appeal to all defence fraternity to join hands and demonstrate strength, vibrancy, dynamism, “UNITY” without any frills. Let us all be ONE in our resolve to get OROP and ensure that the Govt listens to us for the fraternity at large.
4. I also appeal to all senior Defence Veterans specially all Lt Gens and Chiefs to come forward and support the Movement for Justice. We have saluted you and gave you our unflinching loyalty to safe guard the sovereignty and integrity of the country even at the peril of our lives. The rank and file was always with you.
5. Now when the Injustice is being done to us, we request you all to strongly take up our case with the Govt unitedly. This is the time to stand up and be counted. You will always remain our senior leaders and we look forward for your support to get our due Justice.

On hearing of our sincere service, one Nb.Sub, called on us for verification of the correctness of his pension.

Record Office: MEG DOB- 1929

PPO.No: S/R/MODP/009952

PDA: S B I, Tiruchendur., Tuticorin Dist, TN

On scrutinizing the available pension papers, we noticed that his date of birth was 1929 and completed 80 yrs of age , hence eligible for 20% additional pension. Normal pension was ok.

We contacted the PDA and reported the discrepancy . The Manager was kind enough to accept our submission and promised to revise the pension in this month itself .

The Octogenarian and his wife were very happy and thanked us for this voluntary help.
