After a prolonged correspondences with AOC (Secunderabad) Record office, The Army Head Quarters, CDA,Allahabad, Indian Bank Erode Main branch, the Head Office ,Indian Bank, Chennai, We have now received the positive communication from the AOC Record Office, that our submission is correct and the Rate of Special Family pension to SMT.ANDAL W/O LATE SUB.TP.DURAI RAJ is Rs.3462 from 1-1-1996 and Rs.7825 from
1-1-2006.
This issue has created a lot of heat , misinterpretation, misguidance and misunderstanding between the AGs Office Auditors and the Adalat Officials because of the ignorance of Indian Bank, Erode Main branch and the Indian Bank Head Office.
It also created a strained Banker-Customer relationship within the Indian Bank Erode Main branch and the Head Office.
As far as our Trust is concerned, all the above happenings were unwarranted. Because,
if the CDA Cir 282 and 410 were clearly read and understood properly, the INORDINATE delay , about 6 months could have been avoided and the claim for interest on delayed payment of Rs.368000 also could have been averted.
It is a great achievement for the untiring efforts of our Trust.
Dear veteran Brothers, please help such needy family pensioners in your areas or guide them to approach us.
Dear Sir,
ReplyDeleteIt seems that the Bank, the Army Ordinance Corps Records, and The Adalat Officer have no regret for the successive mistakes they have made on a Widow's pension payment. The RBI's Master circular says that the Banks to pay compensation for the delay in pension arrears payment automatically without any application from the pensioner. Now will the Indian Bank, Erode Branch pay the compensation to the pensioner ? We have to wait and see. If not, the pensioner again should represent to the Banking Ombudsman for compensation.
The exwel trust should take up the matter for payment of compensation in this case without any delay. It appears still the bank had not paid the arrears amounting to Rs.3,68,000. The compensation calculated from 1.10.2008 till today will come around Rs.91,000 plus.
It is high time that the Banks realise the importance of timely payment of pension arrears to aged pensioners otherwise they have to pay the compensation without any ill feeling.
