You can calculate the OROP arrears in the following way:
1. Find the Basic pension as per OROP chart- table.
say for Example; Hav and equal Ranks- Sgt- Group- X
QS:15 yrs.
As per Table no: 7 of OROP Tables It is = 8585
then as per Cir 501,table No.17..............it is = 6374
Difference per month..... ........= 2211
Now the Effective Date is From 01-07-2014
Arrears from 1-7-2014 to 31-01-2016 will be-
Difference X a factor of 40.53
2211 X 40.53 = 89612/-
SO- 89612 IS THE ARREARS
This will be paid in 4 equal half yearly installments.
For family pensioners, in one installment.
this the simple way of calculation.
As per Govt letter of 3rd Feb 2016 OROP arrears should be worked out for the period from 1st July 2014 to 31.12.2015 which will be paid in four instalment. I request to know as to how 40.58 is arrived at.

Fromula- Total 19 months, total DA 2153/100=21.53 19+21.53=40.53.
So 1-7-14 to 31-1-2016 = 40.53
May I request the author of the blog to clarify the method of multiplication factor of 40.58 (brakedown) arrived at. It is for my personal knowledge. With regads.

Please clarify as per OROP formula which is given by you arrear (difference amount) x 40.53 (Factor)as per circular number 501 N/SUB and Sub pension not having any change it is same which they drawing from 01/07/2009 It means JCOs not are going to get anything from OROP. Clarification from your side on same will be highly solicited.

This is wrong calculation. Difference may be carried out between the table of circular 547 and tables of circular 555 for PBOR.

Total Arrears for Rs 100/- 1242 1278 1533 4053
Total Arrears for Rs 1/- (4053÷100) =40.53
Total Arrears for Rs Rs(2211 x 40.53) =89612/-
Total Arrears in the above mentioned example is 2211.
Therefore the net Arrears will be Rs(2211 x 40.53) =89612/-

ReplyDeleteAccording to one of your blog, for family pensioner whose husband had died before 1.1.06,her pension will be difference of Cir 547-Cir 397 wef 1.1.06 to 24.9.2012. My father had died on 29.11.1974. My mother got Rs.3500/- BP on 1.1.2006 and subsequently wef 24.9.2012 Rs.4764/-Basic Pension. Now what would be her arrears. Kindly intimate thru mail. She is completely bedridden and lot of money is required for treatment.Moreover PDA not allowing 80 yrs additional benefit.So many times visited SBI Kolkata CPPC.Pls let me know and if possible help me out in this regard.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Pavan, My father retired on 01-11-2010.His basic pension was Rs.7475/- till 26-04-2011, After that he was given Hony NB Subedar rank Y Group and pension was enhanced to basic Rs.8270/-,and his qualified service is 23 Years 11 Months and 18 Days.in the new OROP table i cannot find previous pension amount,it was very low as Rs.7601/- with respect to Hony Naib Subedar and revised as Rs.8425/- as per OROP. Please say how that basic was fixed and the new OROP pension.
The Basic pension of Pre-2006 Hony.nb. Sub as per Table-7 is 8425.
DeleteBut for Post 2006 retirees, we have to calculate as regular Nb.sub, hence your father will be fixed at 9429/-

ReplyDeleteafter my discharge in 1984 I was not payed medical allowance i.e.Rs 350/- per month by the bank I did not avail any medical from nearby Military Hospital I became a member of ECHS only in 2015.Is there any clause to claim arrears of medical allowance Please clarify.

Sir, I was discharged in Aug 1989. I am Gp X Sgt and I was granted pension for 23 yrs and presently drawing 8591. As per cir 555, as per OROP chart my pension is increased as 9280. So difference is 689 in basic. Yesterday IOB has credited my arrears of Rs.12840/-.I am not able to understand how this amount has to me as Ist intallment. I think this is more.
