INORDINATE DELAY FOR PAYMENT
OF ARREARS AS PER CDA CIR 547/549.
It is now more than 5 months passed since the release of CDA
circulars 547 and 549
For payment of arrears for Pre-2006 retirees.
Still large number of defence pensioners have not received their arrears.
Some of the CPPCs have permitted their Branches to calculate
and pay the arrears at their end. But the Branches are reluctant to pay the
arrears and informing that they are not
aware of this calculation/ no documents with them, hence the delay.
We have published in our Blog , the method of
calculation ON 28th December 2015 and Our Trust is ready to
Assist the Bank branches in the calculation works if requested.
Now, there is a speculation that the OROP chart may be
released at any time, but it is unfortunate that the payment of arrears for previous Circulars not
yet completed.
We earnestly request all the banks to arrange for a speedy
payment of arrears with out further delay and avoid a Heavy pressure latter.
All our ESM associations and veterans are requested to
approach the nearby Bank branches to
appraise the situation and extend assistance
for early payment of arrears.
