Ex.Sep..Thangaraj was discharged on 31-7-1978 and got married after discharge from service.

He died on 23-8-2009. As there was no Joint Notification, she was not being paid family pension. The widow called on us for a help in this regard.

Particulars:

Name: Smt.Mercy Santhal W/O Late B.Thangaraj No: 13901057 Rank: Sep

PPO.No: S/R/ 18771/80( Pensioner'S) PDA: SBI Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli-Dist TN.

Record Office: A M C

On scrutinizing the available papers , we noticed that there was no Part II order for marriage as he married after discharge. Hence her name was not recorded in the service records.

We advised her to obtain the Marriage certificate from Registrar of Marriage to apply for Part II order publication. After running pillar to post, she obtained the Marriage certificate .

We took up the case with AMC Record and got the Part II order Published. Then we applied for Family pension claim. The AMC records was kind enough to send a set of Family pension claim forms. The forms were duly filled, signed, witnessed and attested in all respect. We have now forwarded the set of forms to AMC Record Office. The process has taken about a year.

The widow along with his son called on us and expressed her sincere thanks and gratitude for this noble service for getting her pension for Life.

Our Trust is satisfied in extending help to such a poor widow.
