IMPORTANCE OF PART II / POR PUBLICATION

FAMILY STATUS.

IMPORTANCE OF PART II ORDER PUBLICATION.

In spite of repeated advises, our Veterans are not giving much importance to the Part II order publication. Every veteran should keep their family status updated.

The following occurrences are required to be informed to the their respective Record Office for updating the Family status from time to time.

1) Birth of child

2) Intimating the Handicapped / mentally retarded children with proper medical certificates.

3) Death of wife

4) Second marriage

5) Widow hood/ Divorced/ Deserted case of Daughters

6) First Marriage, if done after discharge from service.

Note:

When there are no children born to the first wife, a second marriage may be done , provided it is legally informed( by court order). Otherwise , the second marriage is Void and the second wife will not be eligible for family pension.

For Second marriage. Part II order to be published.

If the second marriage is done when the first wife was alive with out court order, and the first wife dies, the second wife will not be eligible for family pension.

Where the first wife is deceased, the occurrence to be reported to the Record Office, then the second marriage can be done and Part II order may be published.

The children of first wife are eligible for pension as per the existing eligibility norms.

Dear veteran brothers, if you have not reported the above occurrences to your Record Office, please take little pain to inform and avoid hardship / financial loss to your family members after your demise.

If there are any Pre-1-4-1985 retirees, who have not made Family Endorsement , please do it immediately to avoid sufferings of your wife without pension and other hardships after your demise..
