HOMAGE TO A BRAVE HEART- COL.MN.RAI

Col.Munundra Nath  Rai was  Decorated with  YUDH SEVA MEDAL   on Republic Day .

As ill luck  would  have it, in the very next day,   he was killed in an Anti Terror Operation in  J & K .

His body was cremated with full Military Honour . The Army Chief paid Homage to the martyr.

It is note worthy to  state that   his other TWO brothers also serving in Armed forces.
 1. Elder brother  Y.N .RAI   is serving as the Commanding Officer in CRPF'
  2. Next brother  D.N. RAI  is a Lieutenant  Colonel in Indian Army.
Also  his father is a Retired Principal of a Government School in Gazipur.

The absence of Politicians in the funeral  of  a BRAVE SOLDIER  was very much noticed  by the public and it is very much  regrettable.

Dear all,

I got this from my wife who got it on her Whatsapp

I Have the will to pass it on. No one has been able to explain to me why young men & women serve in the Military for 20 years or more, risking their lives protecting your freedom only get 50% of their pay on retirement. While Politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men & women, and receive Full-Pay on retirement after serving one term. Does it make any sense? If each person who receives this forwards it to 20 people, in 3 days, most people will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around. I passed it on, Will you? "If you choose not to pass it on, you still have made a choice. These brave soldiers have given you that right! Support the Armed Forces.

HATS OFF TO WING COMMANDER POOJA THAKUR.

Guard of Honour for President Barack Obama Led by Wing Commander Pooja Thakur

A woman officer, Wing Commander Pooja Thakur, led the ceremonial Guard of Honour for US President Barack Obama at the Rashtrapati Bhavan today.
President Obama was given a 21-gun salute at the forecourt of the majestic presidential palace, after which Wing Commander Thakur walked him for the inspection of the Guard of Honour. She is the first woman officer to lead a tri-services Guard of Honour.
The gesture reflects the theme for this year's Republic Day parade, which is "Nari Shakti (woman power)".
