UNTOLD SUFFERINGS AND PITIABLE CONDITION OF THE SPECIAL FAMILY PENSIONERS OF MILITARY VETERANS
Of late, during the intensive interactions and continued visits to the various places, we had come to know that an umpteen numbers of Ex-Servicemen families are not getting the entitled pension due to them.
The worst part of the misery is that most of the families entitled for Special Family Pension are getting only Normal family pension. Many of the families are at the fag end of their life.
The Prefix in the PPO “ F “ indicates the pension is that of “ SPECIAL FAMILY PENSION”
AND “F / BC “ is of LIBERALISED family pension.
Most of the PDAs are not aware of the indication “F”, with the result , the pensioners are paid only Ordinary family pension.
Our Welfare Trust Suo Moto having come to know about some of the pensioners , who are not getting the rightful dues, intervened after necessary efforts and liaison with the Bank branches and their Head offices got their pension revised and arrears paid.
From the attached list , it is evident that, but for the timely belated intervention of our Trust, the entire arrears amount would have gone un-noticed and met with natural death. This is only tip end of the Iceberg. Tirunelveli-Dstrict of Tamil Nadu alone has these many suffering pensioners.
ALAS” what would be the whole State and the entire country as a whole.
The Trust poses one simple question, who is answerable and accountable for all this sort of avoidable and arbitrary action.
