ANOMALY AMONG ANOMALY

                          ANOMALY AMONG ANOMALY

We all understand that the post 2006 retired Subedars were sanctioned with less pension than Pre-2006 retirees.

For example : a Post 2006 Sub- Group-‘Y”- 28 yrs service - sanctioned …..10230.00
Whereas a pre-2006 Sub- Gp-‘Y’ …..28 yrs …getting pension -------------- 11970.00

This anomaly was projected by many Ex-Servicemen Organizations and the anomaly was accepted by MOD and the grievances addressed by revising the pension equal to pre-2006 level.

Now, another Anomaly has come to light and it is felt by many senior Subedars of Post-2006 , that a Sub.held the Rank for 8 yrs , and total service of say 30 yrs getting Rs.11970/- and another Sub (post 2006) held the Rank held Sub. say for 4 yrs , a total service of 28 yrs also fixed with a basic pension of Rs.11970/-.

Hence the seniors are aggrieved by telling that there is no justification of equating the Juniors and seniors.

Few actual cases with us – Illustration:

1 Sub. Y….. 28 yrs….. Was sanctioned. 9755……. Revised to 11970.00
2. Sub. Y…. 28 yrs                               10650                       11970.00

3. Sub. Y 28YRS. …….. .                      10230 …………         11970.00
4. Sub. Y…. 28 yrs ……                    … 9690 ………              11970.00
5. Sub. Y .. 28 yrs ………                     9370 ……..                11970.00.

We feel that each one might have held the Ranks for different period. But the pension is arrived 50% of their last drawn emolument correctly. This is also to be noted.

How could one justify the above anomaly?

Though the Juniors may be benefited, the seniors are aggrieved.
