It came to our notice that one more widow was getting ordinary family pension istead of Special Family pension.

We contacted the widow and she called on us with all the documents. On verification ,m we noticed that she was sanctioned with Special Family pension from 1982 but was being paid only the ordinary family pension of Rs.1275 from 1-1-96 and Rs.3500/- from 1-1-2006 instead of Rs.7000/-
Immediately , we reported the short payment to the PDA. We also informed their Head Office at Bangalore in this regard and requested them to rectify the discrepancy immediately and pay the arrears amounting to more than Rs.3 lacs plus.
The Poor widow was surprised for this short payment for the last 15 yrs and thanked us for the timely intervention of our Welfare Trust.
This is the 43rd case of Special Family pension rectified by our Welfare Trust. We believe that there are many more such cases in our area .
