AN AGGRIEVED SUBEDAR MAJAOR FROM HARYANA

Veteran Sub.Major Harbans Singh , appreciating the  noble services of our Trust, and exchanging views on Military life with our Chief Admn.Officer M.Packia Natarajan (Hony.Flt.Lt -Retd) and Chief Liaison Officer Sgt.S.kanthiah.at our office. It was a very happy occation.

During our intensive and regular interactions with veterans, we came to know that one Subedar Major of Post-2006 retiree was drawing less pension than his counter part of Pre-2006.

Name: Harbans Singh Rank: Subedar Group: Y Reg.No: JC 210790 x
Qualifying service 29 yrs. Record Office : BEG
PPO.NO: S/035676/2006 AND S/CORR/147865/09
PDA: SBI,The Mall Road, Ambala Cantt., Ambala Dit, Haryana –State.

On perusal of his available PPO, it was noticed that he was sanctioned with a monthly pension of Rs.11475/- whereas , for the same Rank, Group, same length of service of a Pre-2006 retiree , the basic pension as per CDA cir 430, Table No: 42 is Rs.12285/-thus a short pension of Rs.810/- per month in basic.

This anomaly is apparent for many veterans.

We have intimated this anomaly to BEG Records Roorkee for redressing the grievances of the Sub.Maj. This Subedar Major , a Sikh veteran, who is locally employed in a Private company personally called on our Trust office and appreciated our services and thanked us for taking up his case with his Record Office.

Our Trust is immensely happy in extending a helping hand to an another State veteran.
