AN AGGRIEVED AIR VETERAN HELPED

The under mentioned Air Veteran  called on us  and reported that his

Pension seems to be wrongly fixed as per OROP.

PPO: 08/14/B/Corr/ 63847/2010.

PDA: Central Bankof India, , Tirunelveli-Dist, TN.

On verifying the pass book entries, we noticed that his Basic pension is arrived wrongly . 

As per CDA cir.555 Table-No.7, he is eligible for a Basic pension of Rs.7795/- but the PDA has fixed as 7170/- which is for the Rank of Corporal/ Hony.Hav, one rank less  thus a short payment of Rs,625 per month from 1-7-2014.

We have now reported this discrepancy to his PDA for rectification  with

Calculation  chart.

The aggrieved veteran was happy with our action and thanked us for this help...  
Note:
We feel that our veteran brothers, after getting Re-Employment, do not worry about their existing pension.
They are not worried about the changes/revisions.  Whenever they get casual chances , then only they 
come to know that their pension has gone through some revisions. It is not appreciable. They should also 
be in touch with revisions time to time. 

UPDATING PARTICULARS IN BANK'S RECORD

ONE TIME MEASURE FOR UPDATING PARTICULARS.

We understand that still many Pensioners / Family pensioners have not got their pension Revised and arrears as per CDA circulars    547,548,549,555 and 560.

Pensioners are complaining and blaming the banks in general.

On interactions with Bank Officials, we came to know that due to non-availability of particulars like Rank, Group, Qualifying service , and Date of Birth, the revision could not be done.

Particularly, for family pensioners.  In most of the cases, where  separate PPOs issued to Families, where only Rank and Name is available.  Like Seetha W/O  Late  Sep.Rama  only mentioned.

With this incomplete details, the banks are not able to proceed.

On inquiry , we understand that banks have raised THE Annexures for want of particulars, but no response from CDA, hence no progress.

Banks have called for the particulars from pensioners but not encouraging response from pensioners also.

The ultimate sufferers are the pensioners.

Many of the widows of  say Havildars/ Subedars/ Officers are getting the minimum pension of Rs.3500/-only  due to in-sufficient DATAs,

We have guided and helped many such widows by getting their particulars from Discharge Book, PPO and other related documents.

Now here is a Golden opportunity  to update the details

.

When we submit the LIFE CERTIFICATE  in the month of

November,  we go to Bank with all the documents like Discharge Book, PPO and any other documents and furnish the Particulars

In the Life certificate Itself  so that the bank Officials may update

In their Records. Format of Life certificate –CDA cir 183.

All ESM Assns and Organisations and veteran brothers,  are requested to guide and help the veterans and widows to go to Banks with all

Available papers when submitting  the Life Certificate..

Dear veteran brothers,We. The Exwel Trust, Tirunelveli  is  constrained to publish the following happenings for the benefit of our Veterans  community..

We all know that a  Certificate of stoppage of FMA from Bank is one of the Mandatory documents for joining Our ECHS.

ECHS started from 1-4-2004 and it is about 12 yrs passed.

It is noted with regret that still some of Banks are continue paying the FMA in spite of the certificate issued by themselves.

The Ex-Servicemen are not aware whether the FMA is stopped or not.

They have the notion that the Bank has given the certificate and might have stopped.

Large number of ESMs do not demand for pension slip OR go through the SMS sent by Banks.  It is their blind belief  and ignorance.

Many veterans/ families do not know how to read the SMS in their Mobile wherein the details of pension like Basic pension, DA and FMA and commuted amount will be notified..

During our interactions, verification of documents with the visiting veterans to our Trust , we observed that  Still many of our veterans, ECHS members  are being paid FMA .

We are informing the ILL effects of this, like refusal for Treatment at critical time  and compelling them to Reimburse the Paid huge amount before going for Surgery/ Major treatment.

Though  it is the mistake of Banks of non adherence of their commitment ,it is our Duty also to confirm non receipt of FMA.

We are informing and guiding our veterans  to intimate to the PDAs immediately to Stop the FMA  and recover the paid amount in installments.

Dear veteran brothers , and families please check up that  you as a Member of ECHS , are  not being paid FMA  along with your pension.and pass on this messages to other

ECHS members also when ever you visit our Clinic , a casual talk and query. 

This will help to some extend. .

ALMOST ALL PRE-2006 BENEFITS FROM 1-1-2006

ALMOST ALL PRE-2006 REVISIONS / IMPROVEMENTS ARE NOW GIVEN EFFECT FROM 01-01-2006.

We are all aware that any Pay commission’s effective date will from

The date Notified by the government   like

IV the PC……..01-01-1986

Vth PC  ………01-01-1996

vI the PC…….. 01-01-2006.

Any improvement /addition/ deletion  and Anomalies  will take effect from the  effective date of Pay Commission.

CDA circulars 430, 456,494,500,510, 542, 547, 548, 549 560, etc.

Were for improvements/ revision  and so on  recommended by committees but were given effect from different dates.

Now as per Supreme  court directions  all the different  effective dates are brought to 1-1-2006, the effective date of VIth Pay Commission for all types of pension- Service, Family, disability and War injury pension and all..

This may be an Indicator for future Pay Commission anomalies.

All veteran brothers may please  note the same  for guidance.

ONE MORE WIDOW HELPED FOR COMMENCEMENT OF FAMILY PENSION

The below named widow called on for a help  in getting

her Family pension  after Demise of her husband.

Pensioner died on 17-7-2016.

On going through the available records, we noticed that the Joint Notification is already done in her favour. Hence, the PDA can switch over to Family pension.

We have guided the widow to approach the PDA with a copy of

Death certificate and PPO for commencement of pension.

The widow was happy with our guidance and thanked us for this help.

Our Trust is satisfied in helping one more Widow  for pension.

The Fifth Anniversary of AFA Thanjavur was celebrated on 14 Aug 2016 at Sundar Mahal, Cauvery Nagar, Thanjavur.

Gp.Capt.V.J.Singh, Station Commander, AF Station, Thanjavur was the Chief Guest.

A memonto being given to Station Commander by Secy. Vn.S.Kumaravelu.

Vice President JWO C.Thambidurai (Veteran) delivered welcome address.

The following dignitaries facilitated the function.

Wg.Cdr.A.M.Balakrishnan,(Vetaran) Vice President, AFA Tambaram Chapter, Chennai.

Lt.Col.P.Subiah (Veteran) O.i/c ECHS Polyclinic, Kumbakonam.

The performance of the Association was appreciated by all.  

Secretary Cpl.S.Kumaravelu submitted the annual report.  He narrated achievements of the Association in the past year.  He thanked all those who have helped the Association in various capacities.

A BATTLE CASUALTY WIDOW SMT.V.S.SIVAGAMA SUNDARI, W/O JWO R.MURUGAN WAS ALSO HONOURED BY THE STATION COMMANDER.

MORE THAN 10 SENIOR AIR VETERANS (75 YEARS & ABOVE) WERE ALSO HONOURED BY THE STATION COMMANDER.

The Station Commander appreciated the services of senior Air Veterans and also requested them to live like a Brand Ambassadors to the Air Force.

The meeting came to an End with the National Anthem.

DUAL FAMILY PENSION- 30TH CASE.

YET ANOTHER WIDOW  HELPED FOR DUAL FAMILY PENSION.

Smt.Anthony ammal  called on us for a help in getting

Dual Family pension.

He was re-employed in Tamil Nadu govt and retired and

Died.  His wife was sanctioned with Tamil Nadu govt. pension.

Now as per new order, she is eligible for pension from Military

Also.

We prepared the required annexures for claiming DUAL family pension and guided her to forward the same to her RO-ASC

The widow expressed her gratitude for this valuable help by our Trust.

Our Trust is happy in helping the 30 th case of DUAL family pension.

Immediately  we prepared a letter and arrears working sheet and sent it

To her PDA  for immediate payment of arrears.

The innocent widow was very happy with our action and sincerely thanked us .
