Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Chief of Army, Navy and Air Force
pay homage to Kargil war martyrs by laying a wreath at Amar Jawan
Jyoti, India Gate in Delhi.

Minister Manohar Parrikar along with Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, Navy
Vice Chief P Murugesan and Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag also
paid tributes to the martyrs on the 17th anniversary of India’s victory
over Pakistan in the Kargil war.
Over 500
Indian soldiers were martyred in the Kargil War. Several events are
planed at army centers across India especially in Kargil War Memorial in
Drass Sector in Leh-Ladakh to celebrate the Kargil victory and pay
tribute to the martyrs.
