Naval Officers
Air Force Officerrs.
Our defence Minister is expected to inaugurate MAI BHAGO
Armed Forces preparatory Institute
(MBAFPI), the country’s
First Academy to prepare girls to join the Armed forces as Commissioned
Officers in Mohali on 25th
July 2015.
While appreciating the efforts by government, we would like bring the
NEGATIVE POINT also towards this scheme.
As on date , IT IS UNFORTUNATE
there is no pension for the WOMEN Officers in the Defence forces as they are compulsorily discharged on
completion of 14 yrs, before the
eligible service of 15 yrs for pension.
Whereas the MPs and MLAs , even they have not completed
the term of 5 yrs are eligible for Pension.
MPs are getting Rs.20000/ for life
for one term and Rs.5000 more for each additional term.
The women
Officers undergoing lot of Hard life in defence and not eligible for pension
even after 14 yrs of hard life , separated from parents, Husband and children and
in all the Climate, discharging their duty in a strict Disciplined manner.
This is a
great INJUSTICE to Defence Women Officers and it is to be noted by all Defence personnel
and all Ex-Servicemen Associations .
We all
should come forward and bring this Injustice to the Notice of Government to make provision for pension to Women
Officers allowing them to serve for 15 yrs
or they must be made eligible for pension even after 10 yrs of service
as in the case of Civil service.
All the
Veterans , especially Retired Generals attending the function on 25th
July at Mohali are sincerely requested to appraise the Defence Mininster regarding this valuable suggestion on this right occasion..
This article is published for benefits of our Women Officers in our country.
