Smt.Kalavathy D/O Sub.CK Muthu (Late) |
ILL FATE OF A WIDOWED
DAUGHTER OF A SUBEDAR
Here is a sad happenings in respect of a widowed daughter of a
Subedar.
Name: Smt.Kalavathy D/O late: CK.Muthu Rank: Subedar Clk.GD.JC 26438.
After the death of Subedar
( 21-4-2008) , his wife Smt.Sornam was receiving family pension. She also died ON 30-7-2008..
By visiting our blog and the services, the Son
of the Late Sub contacted us for LTA payment of his father./ mother.
On interaction with him,
we came to know that his sister Smt.Kalavathy was a widow. We informed him about the eligibility of
pension for widowed daughter.
Our Liaison officer,
visited the place of Smt.Kalavathy at Kovilpatti
and verified all the available records
and confirmed the eligibility.
Then we initiated all the required claim papers for pension from
22-7-2013 onwards.. The set of claim forms received from Record Office and we
helped her in filling up and getting all the signatures, attestations and sent
to RO through Zilla Sainik Board, Tuticorin on 7-5-2014.
The Record Office made umpteen
number of times./ queries and we helped her in rectifying the discrepancies.
Lastly, the Record
Office demanded certificate of Marriage, variation in
spelling in the name self and Mother, Dependency certificate from st Class
Magistrate.
The poor Widow was running
pillar to post for getting the Affidavit
from the Magistrate by approaching the Revenue department starting from VAO,
Revenue Inspector and Tashildar and some
Advocates and Notary public.
This process took about 10
months to get the Affidavit and the Set
of Documents were forward to Record
Office through our Office on 30-6-2015 for early sanction of pension .
As ill such would have it, Now we are informed
by her brother from New Delhi, that Smt.Kalavathy died on 15-7-2015 due to heart Attack and cremated
on 16-7-2015.
It is a very sad news .
Had the Revenue and other
departments issued the certificates in
time, the widow could have received the sanction order and received the pension in her life time.
Now the Lady died without
enjoying the fruit of her eligible pension.
This kind of Delayed action, harassment from
Departments should be brought to notice of all concerned and condemned. Our Record Offices also may be requested to
avoid calling for Affidavits from a 1st class magistrate for
small things like variation in the spelling of name etc. The Self Attestation
policy of the Government of India should be implemented in all record offices.
Our Welfare Trust is
helping the Ex=Servicemen community in all the areas, we have brought this unfortunate happening to light.
