ENCOURAGING NEWS FOR PRE-1973 INVALIDED VETERANS

For Pre-1973 Veterans,

(1)  Invalided out/ Medically boarded  with Disability  pension , whose  Disability percentage fell below 20% on Re-medical hence, the Disability pension discontinued ,

(2)   And those who have not completed 10 yrs of service, the service  element  also stopped/ not  granted  because the Qualifying service was less than the required period.  Thus these poor veterans are  not getting any pension Service Element/ Disability Element..

(3)    Those who were sanctioned with only Disability pension, and the same is stopped because   of percentage fell below 20% on Re-medical,  the NOKS  were  nor eligible for family pension.

Now as per CDA cir 527 dated 25-4-2014,

 the above conditions are removed  and such category of veterans  are eligible for Disability pension even if the percentage fell below 20% on   Re-Medical and the qualifying service was  less than the minimum period for service element.

Their NOKs  are also eligible for pension now..

Hence, the affected living veterans and the NOK of the this category veterans can apply for pension  to their Record Office.
