Veteran O.Perumal receiving a copy of letters sent to PDA for additional pension from our Chief Admin.Offier Hony.Flt.Lt.M.Packia Natarajan.
Due to our untiring efforts in helping the veterans, one Sepoy from a remote village, called on us to verify the correctness of his pension.
Name: O.PERUMAL Rank: Sapper No; 1317602 RO- MEG. D.O.B 1-1-1928.
PDA: SBI Srivaikuntam, Tuticorin Dist , Tamil Nadu
On scrutinizing his pension and other papers, we confirmed that his pension is correctly paid.
But, as his date of birth was 1-1-1928, he had completed 80 yrs of age in the year 2008 itself, hence he was eligible for an additional pension of 20%. Which was not paid.
Immediately we reported the Discrepancy to the PDA and their CPPC at Chennai for payment of Additional pension with effect from 1-1-2008.
The aged veteran was immensely happy and thanked us for this timely help.
Our Trust is also happy in extending help in getting additional pension for one more Octogenarian , the 24 th one.
