ANOMALY IN GROUP -I / X SERGEANT PENSION.

Aggrieved Sergeant.

AIR FORCE X GROUP SERGEANTS- ANOMALY.

As per recommendation of Cabinet Secretary’s committee, the Revision of pension for JCOs and Other Ranks are tabled as per CDA cir 430. The recommendation says that this is reducing the pension gap between Pre and Post 2006 retirees and the pre-2006 are brought under one head the pre-2006.

It is noted with great concern that there are 2 Tables for Air Force Group I / X Sergeants, table 111 and 112 as per Cir 430.

All Sgts are discharge after minimum of 15 yrs of service only. As per Govt. orders, all Technical trades men having more than 10 yrs of service are recognized as Diploma holders. When such is the case, all Group I /X Sgts are diploma holders and are to be brought under Table No.112. But those who were discharged after 10-10-1997 only brought under table No.112 and others are considered under table No.111, this is a great in-justice.

Though, this issues are expressed/ brought to light by various forums, there is no progress. One side, we are struggling for OROP, and the other side the existing anomaly could not be removed.

All the Major ESM associations should fight jointly for the very simple case of this kind which involves no complex calculation .

Let us all hope that this anomaly is removed at least before the VII th Pay Commission Report.
