NON PAYMENT OF ARREARS (LTA) BY BANKS AS PER
CDA CIR 568/560 TO WIDOWS
On intensive drive and
interaction with widow pensioners, we
noticed that most of the widows are not paid with arrears –LTA as per CDA cir
568- De-Linking 33 yrs which was DUE to their Husbands who died after 01-01-06
Example:. One Case ….. One Sepoy,
V.Kandan, a War injured veteran died
on 29-3-2014.,
Account converted to Family
pension. Wife: smt. K.Santhanam.
PDA: Canara bank,
Palayamkottai . Tirunelveli-Dist, TN.
The deceased veteran was
eligible for Arrears as per CDA cir 560/568 with effect from 01-01-2006 to
29-3-2014, which is to be paid to his wife
In spite of her repeated
request/ representation to Branch as
well as to CPPC, there is no response so far. It is more than a years passed. .
The widow approached us for a
help in this regard.
We, as an Ex-Servicemen
Welfare Trust also represented the case
by letter, phone but no fruitful result.
Likewise, there are many
cases, the widows not knowing their entitlement particularly this LTA. The Banks will not take any initiative of
their own.
It is the widows, who have to
report the non payment of LTA to banks.
But most of them are not that educated to know these orders.
In view of the above facts,
we request our Veteran brothers and ESM Associations to help such affected widows
in your areas for getting their Arrears-LTA as per CDA cir 560/ 568.
This will be a great service
to Widows of our veteran brothers.
