It is understood, that one Lieutenant
was Invalided out due to Disability but no pension was sanctioned because it was reported that the Disability was not
due to service reasons.
The veteran Officer
approached AFT. The AFT called for back
papers from Army Medical Board through RTI and found that the Disability was due to service reasons.
Hence, the AFT gave Judgment to pay Disability pension and
pay the arrears with interest.
Also, The Court asked the MOD
to furnish the details of Asserts for execution. It is an UN Pleasant happening.

AFT seeks list of MoD properties for attachment after disabled officer denied pension
The bench, headed by Justice Surinder Singh Thakur, passed these orders after learning that the officer had not been released his pension till date despite judicial orders to this effect.
Annoyed over the denial
of disability pension to a Lieutenant who had been medically invalided
out of the Army in 2002, the Chandigarh bench of the Armed Forces
Tribunal (AFT) has asked the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare of the
Ministry of Defence (MoD) to provide a list of its properties worth Rs
30 lakh for attachment for non-compliance of the decision.
The bench, headed by
