from a Remote village, about 70 km from our office, called on us and reported that an excess payment of Rs.3.36000/- is to be recovered
from her.

The widow was eligible for
Enhanced Rate of Family pension up to February 2011.
On going through the
available papers, it was noticed that the Enhance Rate was paid beyond Feb 2011 , hence the recovery.
By preparing the DUE /
DRAWN statement, we came to know that the Cir 494 was not taken in to
account. There is a difference in the
recoverable amount, hence we have reported the discrepancy to PDA and their
CPPC at Chennai. We have also informed about the discrepancy to AG Office,
Chennai.
The aggrieved widow was
satisfied with our action and sincerely thanked us for this valuable help.
Our Trust will continue to
strive hard to mitigate the sufferings of the families of
Ex-Servicemen.
