           The happy veteran K.Janaki Raman with our Liaison Officer Sgt.S.Kanthiah.

 Veteran K.Janaki Raman called on our Trust office with a discrepancy , that his friend of same Rank and Group and QS is getting more pension than him.

Name: K.Janaki Raman              Rank: Havildar   Group-Y     Qly.Service: 19.5 yrs.

PPO.No; S/062522/1998      PDA: IOB, Tirunelveli-Dist 

On going through his PPO and Bank pass book, we noticed that he was sanctioned pension for 19.5 yrs of service as per Original PPO  and was being paid correct rate of pension till 24-9-2012.

During the revision  as per CDA cir 501, the Bank has revised his pension for 19 yrs of Qly.service only.

Immediately  we contacted the PDA and informed the discrepancy. The Manager was kind enough to hear us and requested us to represent the case  as the revision is done at their CPPC, Chennai.

We have  written to  IOB, CPPC Chennai  about the discrepancy  along with the PPO and the circular Tables for immediate correction.

The veteran was very much satisfied of our instant action and thanked us for such a help.

 Veteran  Muruganandam called on our  Trust office  for knowing whether  his pension will be revised as per CDA circular 501.

PDA:  I o b BRANCH, Tirunelveli –dist.

On going through his available papers, it was noticed that he had served for 7 yrs.regular and 8 yrs.reserve and receiving minimum pension of Rs.3500/-

We  informed him that as  per the Cir 501, he is not eligible for revision.

We confirmed that the Joint Notification in favour of his wife is done.

He was satisfied with our explanations and thanked us for the help.

ONE MORE SEPOY HELPED FOR ENDORSEMENT OF FAMILY PENSION

Veteran Ganesan cameto our Trust office for clarification regarding his disability pension –broad banding.

PDA: I.O.B   KK.District.

On going through his PPO  and Discharge book, we came to know that he is eligible for Broad banding of Disability element as per CDA Cir 429.

We prepared the Annexure and guided him to send through his PDA to his Record Office.

Again , we came to know that he has not applied for Endorsement of family pension .

We also prepared the set of Application for Endorsement of Family Pension in Triplicate and asked him to get it signed by the PDA and forward  the same to his Record Office.

Veteran Ganesan was very happy and expressed his heartfelt thanks to our Trust members for such a help to Ex-Servicemen community.

YET ANTHER PRE-1984 VETERAN HELPED FOR JOINT NOTIFICATION

The below mentioned Ex.Sepoy came to our Trust office for verification of correctness of his pension.

PPO.No”s/c/ 30551/1983

PDA:  I O B Branch, , Tirunelveli district  Tamil Nadu.

On going through his PPO , Discharge Certificate and the Bank pass book,  we noticed that he is being correct rate of pre-revised pension. The revision as per Cir 501 is not carried out.

Then , as he is a Pre-1984 retiree, we inquired about the Endorsement of family pension.

He was not aware of this and not applied for.

Immediately we prepared the required Appendix-1, Annexure-II, and the Additional particulars  in Triplicate and guided him to get the signature of the PDA and forward it to his Record Office, MEG Bangalore without further delay.

The veteran was so happy of his visit and thanked our Trust for this valuable timely help in getting the Joint Notification in favour of his wife..

ONE MORE RAILWAY PENSIONER HELPED

Mr.Murugesan at our Trust Office.

One hearing the good services of our Trust, one Railway pensioner called on us .

Name: Mr.K.Murugesan      PPO: 86082000922

PDA: Canara Bank, Tuticorin dist.

He informed us that his father  was also  a railway pensioner and died in 2008 on 84^th year of age. The LTA of VIth Pay  Commission was not yet paid. The wife was  pre deceased  of the pensioner, hence there was no nomination.

We contacted the PDA and informed that  , in the absence of Nomination, the Legal heirs are eligible for the payment of LTA.

Mr.Murugesan is the only legal heir of the deceased Kasi Nadar  and  he himself is Railway pensioner ,  the arrears  may be paid to him as LTA.

After a long discussion and arguments the Bank official agreed to settle the case as death claim settlement .

Mr.Murugesan  was happy and thanked us for the help.

We are happy in helping one more Railway pensioner.

YET ANOTHER WIDOW HELPED FOR GETTING FIRST PENSION

Smt.Pechiammal with her daughter at our trust office.

One widow was not getting her family pension after the demise of her husband.

PDA: Canara bank,  Tuticorin Dist. TamilNadu.

On verifying her PPO ,  we noticed that the Joint Notification in favour of her is already existing. Hence she is eligible for family pension.

We contacted the PDA over phone and informed about the non payment of pension inspite of the Joint Notification.   The Bank manager was kind enough to accept our submission and assured  us to switch over to family pension in this month itsef.

The poor widow and her daughter were very happy about our action and expressed thei r gratitude  to our Trust  for the timely help

ONE MORE BANK OFFICER VISITED OUR TRUST

On  the News of our services in the Air, one more officer from Canara Bank visited our Trust on 30-6-2013.

Name: Mr.Prem Kumar,  Manager,   Canara bank, 

Kalampatti-, Kovilpatti-TK. Tuticorin dist.

He had a lengthy discussions with our Liaison Officer Sgt.S.Kanthiah regarding Defence pension payment procedure, the terms used in Defence pension  like Rank, Group  and qualifying service and the three services Army, Navy and Air Force.

He got clarified many doubts about the latest revision of pension as per CDA cir 501, 502 and 503.

He had brought few cases for revision of pension and payment of arrears. It was solved with the help of Circulars and Tables.  He was provided with calculation (Excel ) sheets  and  He was very much satisfied with our way of dealing  and appreciated our Trust for providing him with required information’s by way of Circulars and Tables.

ONE MORE VETERAN GUIDED

One Ex.Spr  accompanied by his wife visited our Trust office for confirming the correctness of his pension.

On going through his PPO and pass book entries,   it is noticed that he is being paid correct Rate of pension .

We also informed his wife that the Joint Notification is already existing and nothing to worry about.

The aged couple were satisfied with our explanations and thanked us for this guidance’s and helps to ESM community.
