ONE HANDICAPPED SON OF A
SUBEDAR HELPED.
During one of our Pensioner’s awareness meeting, we
came to know that one Handicapped Son of a Late Subedar was
being paid less pension.
Name: Prabu Jaisankar S/O late Sub: T.Ganapathy (JC 115248)
PPO.No:F/NA/ 5092/1993
PDA: SBI, Palayamkottai,
Tirnelveli-Dist.
On scrutinizing his PPO
and other papers including the pass book entries we noticed that he was being
paid less pension.
We reported the
discrepancy to his PDA. As there was no progress, we reported to CPPC , SBI at
Chennai. The correspondences was going on for about 9 months. The pensioner was
informed by mail that he is being paid correct Rate of pension as Rs.3914/-and
no further revision.
Then we took up the matter
to his Record office EME centre Secunderabad and we received a reply that the
Pensioner is eligible for Basic pension of Rs.4770/- as we were insisting as
per VI th PC. With effect from 1-1-2006.
They have also instructed
the PDA to revise the pension and pay the arrears w.e.f 1-1-2006.
The aggrieved
Handicapped, was very happy and expressed
his sincere thanks to our Welfare Trust and also told that but for the
intervention of the Trust , he could have not got this revision. Our Trust is
satisfied in helping one more Handicapped
son of a veteran,
