A GENUNIE SUGGESTION - ADDITIONAL PENSION. ABOVE 80 YRS OF AGE.

A GENUINE SUGGESTION REGARDING ADDITIONAL PENSION.

As per Government  order OM .No  . 38/37/08- Pen& PW(A)  dated 02-09-2008

For civilian employees     and

GOI. MOD  Ltr.No: 17(4)/2008(1)/ D ( Pen/ Plo ) dated  11-11-2008 for Defence personnels,

The Additional pension is payable on completion of 80 yrs of age.

HERE, it is to be noted that,

The retirement age of Civilian Employees is uniformly 60 yrs and more that 95 % of employees retire on 60 yrs of age.  It is OK.

They  are getting Additional pension on completion of 80 yrs of age  , that is after 20 yrs of their retirement.

Whereas, The defence personnel retire at different ages according to their Ranks.

Example:

Sepoy to Havildar …… retire     at the age of  35- 45 yrs

Nb.Sub to Sub-Maj……………………………………..44- 48 yrs

Officers up to  Col………………………………………..Mostly at 54 yrs

Brig……………………………………………………………    56 yrs

Maj.Generals…………………………………………….     58 yrs

Lt.Gen and above………………………………….          60yrs.

At present, all these defence personnel are getting  Additional pension on completion of 80 yrs of age  only..

Now, compare the Civilian employees and  defence personnel.

Civilians are getting Additional pension on completion of 20 yrs after retirement.

Whereas defence personnel are not getting additional pension on completion of 20 yrs after retirement.  They get only on completion of 80 yrs of age.

  THIS IS A DISCRIMINATION.   NOT JUSTIFIED.

Our genuine suggestion to Government is  to pay Additional pension to both Civilians  and Defence personnel  on completion of 20 yrs after retirement.
