One Veteran sustained injury in a Bomb Blast and was
classified as battle Casualty

After series of correspondences for grant of War Injury
pension, we have now informed that the injury sustained when he was in Toilet(
Latrine) and hence not covered under the
ambit of enemy action. Hence not eligible for War injury pension.
The same Record office, had informed early that
he his injury was while on duty in proximity to enemy
due to mine blast and the incident is classified as Battle causality.
Both the statements are contradictory to each other.
It is a great injustice
to a veteran.

ReplyDeleteDear Mr. Kanthiah, This is heart touching. If you have photo copies of the record office letters, you might as well take up directly to MOD. Also seek advise of Major Navdeeep advocate in Punjab high court. He does good job for the disable pensioners. Srinivasa Rao
