ATTITUDE OF SOME BANKERS TOWARDS DEFENCE PENSIONERS.

LETHARGIC ATTITUDE OF SOME BANKERS TOWARDS SPECIAL,  LIBERALISED AND NORMAL FMILY PENSIONERS.

The Exwel Trust time and again publishing the Plight of the Military family pensioners and the existing Anomaly in pension related issues in our Blogs.

The Exwel Trust carried out a suo motto survey and research with regard to the disbursement of pension to special Family pensioners. During our intensive survey and interactions with number of pensioners, the following points had come to light.

a) Most of the family pensioners are not aware of their entitled pension, and majority of them are illiterate.
b) Number of the family pensioners are not knowing that they are not getting their legitimate dues.e.g  Liberalised,  Special  and Normal –Enhanced and Ordinary family pension.
c) We are surprised to know that some the family pensioners are not getting their rightful dues and increased rate of pension for the last 19 yrs, i.e from 1-1-1996. The arrears, when we worked , it comes around more than few  lakhs.
d) The PPO serial number with Prefix-“ F and F/BC “ and F/NA is not understood by many of the Banks. When we submit the working sheet, the bankers argue that despite the Auditors from RBI and AGs Office, it would not be possible for the belated claim. Further they went on to add that this Trust is encouraging the Veterans and their families to file the claim and the claimant is not interested .
e) This Trust makes every possible efforts and clearly working out the details of the Delayed payment with relevant orders issued from CDA , Record Offices and the Bank circulars. Yet there is considerable avoidable delay in making the payment , thus increasing hardships to the family pensioners.
f) When the pensioners approach the bank with the grievances, they neither convince the pensioners nor solve their problems by telling that every thing is done by their CPPC, thus making them to run pillar to post.. This is not a right answer.

g) In view of the above facts, dear viewers are requested to help such families in your areas  and send their comments in order to ease the problems of the already suffering pensioners and their families.
