A pitiable WAR injured veteran called on us for a help
for Broad banding of Disability pension.
Name: R.Lakshmanan
( 2562391), Rank: Sepoy QS: 15 yrs 2 months.
WAR Injury During 1971 war ( 16-12-1971).
PPO.No: D/BC/
1842/1982, D/BC/ CORR/ 0407/2012, AND
D/BC/CORR/ 0161/2013.
RO; MRC.
On interaction , we understood that he was wounded , a
Bullet passed through his left side of Chest ,
and was discharged with a WAR injured pension of 20%.disability.
It is not justified for granting only 20% disability for
such a wounded soldier. He was fortunate
that the Bullet hit only ½” away
from his Heart and escaped from death.
Such a veteran was granted with only 20% disability.
Now , he applied for
Broad banding of Disability Element as per CDA cir 429, which was rejected by Record Office for the reason
that he was not INVALIDED OUT, but on
completion of Terms,
hence not eligible.
Veteran R.Lakshmanan is expressing his sincere thanks to our Liaison Officer Sgt.S.kanthiah .
see the injury at the back side of chest.
Now as per the latest SUPREME COURT rulings, the Broad Banding is is applicable
to
“ Super annuated/
completion of Terms cases also.
As per this information, we have again Representing the
case for Broad banding for the War injured veteran to Record Office
and Army Veteran Cell for consideration.
The veteran expressed his gratitude for such a help from
our welfare Trust.
Our Trust is satisfied in helping a WAR wounded veteran
for a genuine cause.
