PLIGHT OF YET ANOTHER
WIDOW OF SFP RECEIVING ORDINARY FAMILY PENSION.
During our special
interaction with pensioners, we came to know that the below mentioned widow is
receiving an Ordinary family pension of
a Sepoy instead of Special Family pension for the Rank of Naib Subedar..

Smt.Adaikalamari W/O Late: Thomas Jaya
Dass Rank: NB,SUB (JC 23789) Group- E
PPO.NO: F/ 711/1968.
PDA: Central Bank of
India- Tirunelveli-dist, tamil Nadu.
We contacted and requested her to call at our office with
all available documents.
On scrutinizing the
papers, we noticed that her Husband died on 08-01-1967 while in service and she
was sanctioned with SPECIAL FAMILY PENSION
vide PPO .No: F/ 711/1968
On verifying the Bank pass book entries, we
confirmed that she was being paid Ordinary family pension of a Sepoy so long.
It is heartening to note that, on calculation,
the arrears comes to Ten lacs plus that too from 1-1-1996 to 31-12-2013 only..
When we enquired from the
widow, she replied that she is not aware of Ranks and Rates of pension. She is
satisfied that she is getting some pension.
The Auditors from RBI, AGs
Office and the Banks have not noticed this short payment for the last 26
years. They are interested to find out
the Excess payment and immediate recovery./
It is a surprise that her
son is also an Ex-Serviceman, recently
discharged, was not aware that her mother was receiving short payment.
When we explained all this
discrepancies and the arrears, the innocent widow was surprised and sincerely thanked us for this timely help,
not only to her but for the ESM
community as a whole.
It is once again
established that but for the timely intervention and help rendered by our
Trust, this case would have gone un-noticed .
We regret to inform the
readers and the PDAs that the Prefix
in the PPO- F, F/BC
AND F/NA is still not understood
and followed the PDAs , hence the widows are not paid correct rate pension. We have
published an article regarding this in detail early.
Our Trust is proud in
helping such a Pitiable and helpless widows.
This is happening in all over India. Who is responsible for paying wrong family pension to widow for 26 years. Atlest either bank or AG office or PCDA should be held responsible for giving wrong pension to widow whose Husband has died on 08-01-1967 while in service and she was sanctioned with SPECIAL FAMILY PENSION vide PPO .No: F/ 711/1968. widow of ex Subedar Major kamaljit1950@gmail.com
