YET ANOTHER PRE-1986 AIR VETERAN HELPED FOR ENDORSEMENT OF FAMILY PENSION.

SGT. XAVIER- AIR VETERAN  AT OUR TRUST OFFICE.

The below mentioned Air Veteran came to our Trust  regarding Refund of Income Tax.

PPO.  S/ 2398/1978.

On going through his available Documents, we noticed that he is Pre- 1986 retiree  and not applied for Endorsement of Family pension.

He was not aware of this so far.

We explained him about the importance of JOINT  NOTIFICATION  and prepared the applicable Annexure  in Triplicate and guided him to forward  to DAV  through his PDA.

The veteran was happy and thanked us for this timely help.

Dear Veteran brothers,

During our  interactions with our visiting Veterans , we came to know that many of them are of the view that,

After discharge/ Release from Military , there is no Link between Record Offices and the Pensioners.  THIS IS INCORRECT .

The Link between Veterans and Record office  continues till our death  and further continues  with our Family members also- Wife and eligible children

Sons and Daughters become eligible for pension after the Demise of both the Parents.

Sons up to the age of 25 yrs or Marriage which ever is early

For Handicapped  sons for life.

Daughters:  Unmarried / Divorced / Deserted / Widow   till marriage  and for

Handicapped  for life.

Our Prime duty is to inform the occurrences to Record office., that is

          Marriage after discharge from service.

1. Birth of children after discharge from service
2. Death of wife  /   Divorce with first wife.
3. Second Marriage.  ( Second Marriage when First Wife is alive is VOID)
4. Change of Religion
5. Change of Name of Self and wife – by Gazette notification
6. Latest, Aadhar Card,  PAN card. and address.

And we should  obtain Part II order published  for all the occurrences.

Without Part II order we can not avail the facilities like Scholarship , Family pension and Priority for Government Jobs / Allotments., Marriage Grand for Daughters etc..

NOTE: Still some of our Pre- 1985 veterans have not applied for Endorsement of Family pension due to Ignorance. If any, please do it immediately  to avoid mental agony and financial Hardships to our Wife after our Demise.

Those who have applied , please confirm the Joint Notification is received by way of a PPO . 

  like S/ JN/……/year    etc.  Other wise write to RO again for confirmation

Date of Discharge…………..    31-4-1976

Qualifying service…………….10 yrs.

He was discharged with out pension.

Now as per Supreme Court ruling, such veterans are eligible for

Special pension- Reservist  pension.

We have prepared the related Annexure and guided him to send it to his Naval Pension Office.

The veteran was happy with our action and thanked us for this valuable help.

Our Trust is happy in helping the first case of this type of Reservist pension..

Ailing Lady St.Manonmani W/O Late Hony.Lt.Thomas  on bed for the last 10 yrs- Spinal card damaged.

 Our Financial Trustee Sgt.C.Muthukrishnan ,Air veteran on  Laptop for Life Certificate-
Biometric- Jeevan Pramaan..

Our other Trust Members Sgt.S.Kanthiah, and Hony.Flt.M.Packia Natarajan ,Air Veterans with the widow.

OUR TRUST MEMBERS VISITED AN AILING WIDOW PENSIONER AT HER DOORSTEP

FOR  JEEVAN PRAMAAN-  LIFE CERTIFICATE – BIOMETRIC  DEVICE.

On hearing the news of a Bank Officials  demanding  personal appearance

for Life Certificate,  in the Bank of a Ailing, bedridden widow  Smt. Manonmani W/O Late  Hony.Lt. Thomas, 87 yrs old  who is a bedridden patient  for the last 10years, immobile  due to broken Spinal card,

Our Trust Members  wanted to help the Widow, visited her Residence  with our Equipments,  Laptop, Digital Finger Scanner & Printer.

The ailing Widow and family members were happy of our visit. The widow was not able to talk, expressed her feelings by signs with her hands. It was a pathetic condition.

We proceeded for obtaining the Finger impression in the Device  for Generating  Life Certificate-

Unfortunately, non of her 10 fingers could be caught in the Device. We came to know that the Aadhaar Card was issued with  EYE CATCHING only and not finger print.

Hence the option left  now  is,  only Manual Life Certificate.

We discussed with the Branch Manager  to accept the manual  Life Certificate as a very special case and as per RBI instructions..

The Branch Manager was kind enough to accept our request  for Manual Life Certificate.

Dear veteran Brothers, please try to help such pensioners  in your areas.

VERY USEFUL INFORMATIONS TO SENIOR VETERANS

USEFUL INFORMATION TO OUR SENIOR VETERANS-70YS AND ABOVE.

Reserve Bank has understood the difficulties and hardships faced by Senior Citizens of  above 70years of age, accordingly  RBI has instructed the Banks as under:

“BANKS ARE INSTRUCTED TO DISBURSE PENSION, AND OTHER BANKING TRANSACTIONS INCLUDING OBTAINING OF LIFE CERTIFICATE  TO SENIOR CITIZENS  OF 70 YEARS .AND ABOVE AT THEIR DOOR STEPS “

Banks are advised to implement these instructions by December 31, 2017 in letter and spirit.

AUTHORITY: Circular :DBOD No:BL BC 59/22.01.010/2006-2007 DT. 21-2-2007.

Our veteran brothers are requested to note the same and pass on to other Senior veterans.

A REMINDER TO GIVE LIFE CERTIFICATE

JEEVAN PRAMAAN

All pensioners getting pension from Banks are to give Life Certificate in the month of November each year.  If you are not giving your Life Certificate your pension will be stopped.

You can visit your Bank personally with your PPO, Pass book and Aadhaar Card for giving life certificate.  After submitting Life Certificate please collect printed acknowledgement from the bank and keep it safe.

If you are unable to visit your Bank, or you are staying away from your how town, you can submit your Life Certificate from any of your Bank branches with the above documents.

You can also give your Life Certificate from Common Service Centre (CSC) located near to you.

You will be asked to identify with your finger impression with Aadhaar, PPO No. and SB Account No. and Bank.  You have to pay small charges for that.

You will be given a printed Jeevan Pramaan Life certificate with your Aadhaar Photo with a Jeevan pramaan ID.  Simultaneously this certificate will be made available to your bank.

With help of the Jeevan Pramaan ID, you can take print out of your Life Certificate from any where and hand over to your bank.

YOUR AADHAAR CARD, PPO NO. AND BANK PASS BOOK IS A MUST FOR

GIVING LIFE CERTIFICATE.
