            We had taken up a case of RESTORATION  OF ORDINARY FAMILY PENSION  for a  Re-married widow.

The pension was stopped on her remarriage.

After corresponding about 3 years  with Record Office and PCDA,

 the WIDOW is now sanctioned  with Restoration of Family pension

 with effect from 01-01-2006.

The widow called on our Trust office and expressed her sincere  thanks

  to our Trust for all the helps and guidance.

Our Trust is very happy in succeeding our efforts in getting the

RESTORATION  OF FAMILY PENSION TO A REMARRIED WIDOW.

Due to lots of complaints / dissatisfactions  towards  functioning of ECHS in recent times,

Our ECHS  Central Organisation  has created one  Whats APP  named as:

“ SHAPE YOUR SCHEME    AND  SAVE YOUR SCHEME. “

It is a good move, if it is effectively  followed in real letter and  spirit .

Its aim is ,  for enhancement of effectiveness  and reporting  of issues  by Beneficiaries, be their Difficulties,  Medical needs,  or unfair  practices by any one  including  Empaneled Hospitals and ECHS Staffs at all level.

This whats App  account will be handled by –

 DIRECTOR  COMPLAINTS & LITIGATION  at Central Organisation.

Our  ESM  Associations / Organisations  are requested to pass on this useful information  to ECHS members  in their areas  to use this  facilities liberally  by expressing their difficulties or  any problem without any hesitation.

PLIGHT OF VETERANS FOR ENDORSEMENT OF FAMILY PENSION

Of late, it has come to light through  EPPOs  that there are lots of discrepancy in  DATAs, particularly Date of Birth,  and Name, spelling in the name etc of spouse.

Though the pensioners have submitted the DATA sheet in the recent time, there is still such discrepancies in the EPPOs.

Due to this, veterans are compelled to apply  for change of DOB/ correction or change Name of spouse  to avoid hardship for drawing family pension  at later stage- i.e denial of family pension by banks due to mismatch of the particulars.

When applied for Part II order for  marriage, most of the Pre-96 veterans have informed  the Age  of Spouse, not the actual date of birth and pet name  or short name of spouse  and not bothered  to check/ correct the discrepancies at the time of discharge.  Hence , all these discrepancies.

Now, when the Pre-86 veterans applied for Endorsement of Family Pension,  the application is returned ,  stating that  the DOB , Date of marriage and the name of spouse furnished in the application does not  match with Service Record.

In most of the cases, what is in Service Record is not informed, hence the veterans  are pushed  in to confusion, not remembering  what was furnished in part II order.  This has led  to the delay in submission of application.

Note:  Record Offices are requested to mention the particulars available in the service Record, so as to make the correction and re-submission.

Also ,  by referring CDA cir 572, the Simplified  application may be accepted,  avoiding  the annexure II

Here,  the veterans are facing difficulties in getting attestation, Affidavit from Magistrate/ Notary Public,  and from revenue departments.   Lot of time and money is spent on this and delay in submission. 

Then, Record Offices  and CDA  will take another 6 to 10 months  to finalise, by this 

it takes about  one year to get the Endorsement .

Note:  the Post 1986 retirees are issued PPO  with  the Joint Notification , on the basis of the available records.  Why not for the Pre-1986  retirees also , issuing a corr PPO  with joint notification  on the basis of existing datas.  Thus  avoiding all the hardship.

A GLANCE AT NOBLE SCHEME - ASSURED DECENT LAST RITES SCHEME ( ADLR )

A  GLANCE AT THE NOBLE SCHEME- ASSURED DECENT LAST RITES  SCHEME.

This ADLR scheme was introduced  on June 2006 by

our beloved Lt.General AS.JAMWAL for a  good and Noble cause..

By this scheme, the members of each CSD canteen will be honoured on their demise , by paying Last respect  by laying a WREATH  on the body of the departed veteran on behalf of our Military services.

Now the scheme is altered  due to unknown reasons .

At present,  the Canteen Run by Army authorities, honour  only the Army veterans and same way the Other canteen Run by Air Force  and Navy.

The expression of condolence  and paying last respect should be common for all the members of a particular canteen-  e.g  Army, Navy and Air Force veterans.

Our earnest  appeal to our THREE service HQs  is, to extend the ADLR scheme, that is Laying of WREATH  and paying last respect should be given to all the members of the particular canteen.

( Paying of Demise Grant  will be done by the respective  HOs  Air force and Navy at a latter date.  They may have a better  death benefit schemes)

And  The canteen Run by NAVY  should pay respect to Army  and Air Force veterans ,

Thus avoiding  discrimination among our Ex-Servicemen and having  goods harmony  between all our three forces  veterans.

They can download their EPPO by the following method:

You will receive the Dashboard
on the right side  you will find  PRE-16 EPPO

You click that – Pre-16 EPPO

 You will find  the particulars  :

Select Category   :   Officer  / sailor  ………Click Sailor

Service number  :     feed your service No  - six digits + suffix  -say 142574H

Date of birth:   format  like:   1960-03-14

Then  enter  Captcha code :  like:  L 9 BN 8

Then click  Download EPPO.

 You will get your EPPO

  otherwise you will  be informed that,  your  EPPO is not yet generated.

You have to wait for some more time  or write to your Record Office  stating that ,

I have submitted by DATAs , and my EPPO is not yet generated –

Kindly do the needful for early generation or inform if there is any Observation .

All Navy veterans can utilize this facility.

Dear veteran brothers,

We have published in our Blog  on 4-3-2016 and 01-04-2020 regarding the importance of ENDORSEMENT OF FAMILY PENSION .

We understand  that still  some veterans have not applied for EPF  and part II order for birth of children,  marriage, death of First Wife , 2^nd marriage  etc.

On this regard, our MOD, Dept of ESM Welfare has once again  reminded  this wide their MOD Ltr No:345/DS/PG/SM/ 2020 dated 03-08-2020.

The  Part II order alone is not sufficient.  A PPO has to be obtained  including all the names of DEPENDENTS  who will be eligible for family pension after our demise.  Refer our Posting on 9-5-2020—Series- 33 .

Our veteran brothers are requested  to take this issue as most serious/ important   one and apply , if not already done to avoid sufferings  of our families after our demise..

All our ESM Associations / Organizations are requested   to convey this messages to veterans in their area.

  MONTHLY PENSION SLIP FOR DEFENCE PENSIONERS  FROM CANARA BANK.

A new app has been created in CANARA BANK   as
 PENSION SEVA PORTAL.

You can  visit the website  www.canarabank.com  and down load your monthly pension slip -  the procedure is  as follows:

When the site is opened, you will see on the RH side,  What is New;

Under that  , you will find  Pension Seva Portal…………Click that

Now you will see the  Icon   _ PENSION SEVA PORTAL  ……on RH side  Click Login

Another ICON-----  will ask for your  Bank A/c No…………..Type  a/c No

                                     Again confirm   a/c   ……………………….Type  a/c No.

   Under this column,  there is Login-…….you  click Login

    It will ask for OTP Number.

    Now a OTP number will be created on your   given Mobile .

    Type the OTP number -   Then click  Submit .

 You will see on the board as :   Pension Portal….Home….Report ….controls.

You click  ---Report….Here you will find  options:

Pension Slip,     Annual financial Statement,    and Investment declaration

Here you click--- Pension Slip.

It will ask for the period like………. Month…………Year…………..  give the particulars

Then click  create,

It will create the Monthly Pension Slip     , Annual Statement from April to March as per our requirement .

Thus every pensioner can down load their Monthly pension slip in this method 

.

Our Canara Bank account holders can utilize  this  Pension Seva portal facility .
