NON RENEWAL OF ECHS CARDS & AFTER EFFECT.
It has come to our knowledge that still some veterans have not renewed their 16kb
cards. Life of 16 kb card is already expired on December 2018 .
This 16kb card was to be renewed as 32 kb in 2010-
Many veterans have renewed to 32 kb but some have not done This 32 kb also will expire in Dec 2020.
This 16 and 32 kb cards to be renewed to 64 kb to accommodate more
datas.
One incident has come to
light now , that one HAV , holding 16 kb card
and fallen sick which needed immediate admission. When reported to ECHS, the O i/c has noticed
that the 16 kb card is already expired /
not renewed.
More over he is drawing
his FMA of Rs.1000- also.
Due to this TWO reasons,
the O i/c has denied issuing referral
for admission..
The veteran was
instructed to renew the card online and
get a Stoppage of FMA certificate from Bank.
Then only referral may be issued.
The veteran is put in to
critical position. Both the
rectification will take some time. ULTIMATE SUFFERER IS THIS VETERAN.
In view of the above such
cases, our veteran brothers are advised
to confirm that they have renewed their
existing card to 64kb card and
also their Fixed Medical Allowance is
stopped by verifying in their pension slip to avoid
the last minute running about and hardships. If FMA is still being paid , take necessary
steps for stoppage by writing to concern Bank .
