One Veteran Havildar visited our Trust for renewal of his ECHS  32 Kb card.

On going through his documents , we noticed that he has not applied for ENDORSEMENT OF FAMILY PENSION .

We explained him about the importance of JOINT Notification and the sufferings of widows  in the absence of Joint Notification.

Immediately, we prepared the required forms in Triplicate and instructed him to send it to his Record office through his Bank .

The veteran  felt sorry for the delay and thanked us for this timely and valuable help.

ONE  91 YRS OLD VETERAN HELPED FOR LIFE CERTIFICATE

On coming to know  the facility available  for LIFE CERTIFICATE  in our Trust Office, the below mentioned veteran was brought to our office for submission  of Life Certificate  by JEEVAN PRAMAN- DIGITAL SCHEME.

Record Office: Artillery Nasik Road Camp

Date of Birth-  01-07-1928.   91^st yr running.

As the veteran was not to able travel , he was brought in a Auto by his Daughter to our Trust Office from a village some 12 km away.

We obtained his finger print  by our BIOMETRIC DIGITAL  system and successfully uploaded his  Life Certificate.

The aged veteran  and his daughter expressed their sincere thanks for  this valuable service  for such an incapacitate veteran.

Our Trust is very much satisfied in serving an octogenarian.

UNFORTUNATE HAPPENINGS IN OBTAINING LIFE CERTIFICATE IN BANKS

UNFORTUNATE HAPPENINGS IN BANKS  FOR LIFE CERTIFICATE.

Reserve Bank of India has clearly given instructions  regarding obtaining of LIFE CERTIFICATE   vide their order RBI. 2017-2018

DBR No. Log. BC.96/ 09-07-005/ 2017-2018 dated 9-11-2017.

The facilities provided to Senior Citizens above 70 yrs of age/ Sick / Old/ incapacitated persons, including  obtaining of LIFE CERTIFICATE...    

The Para 2(g) , clearly instruct the Bankers  to provide  DOOR STEP BANKING

Ease  of submitting Life certificate  as per  JEEVAN PRAMAN SCHEME

Cir –dgba.h-2529/45-01-001/2014-2015 dt. 12-9-2014.

Pensioners can submit  Physical  /  BIOMETRIC Digital  scheme in any of their Bank Branches ( CBS ) to avoid hardships.

It is Unfortunate to note that, some of Bank branches are asking the pensioners to go to their parent Branch to submit the Life Certificate.

In some cases, as the pensioners are very old, the Digital Finger Print   instrument is not accepting/ reading the Finger print  / EYE catching.

In such cases,  the Bank branches may accept the Manual

Life Certificate but some branches  are declining to accept manual certificate.

3.  When pensioners are bedridden/ very old and sick, immobile  and not able to travel,  are Taken by some means to Bank premises,  but the Bank officials   are not coming out to verify the presence of pensioners who is seated in a AUTO / vehicle ,   which is very much  INHUMAN behaviour. They insist the pensioner to come inside  the Branch premises which is not possible.

Hence, the pensioners are taken back without giving LIFE CERTIFICATE.

The very purpose of RBI circular on  DOOR STEP SERVICE  is defeated.

We suggest that every Bank Branches should have  SOME MEANS TO  carry the  pensioners  inside the branch.

Relatives of such pensioners  are approaching us for a help in this regard.

We as an EX-SERVICEMEN WELFARE TRUST,  visit their home   with the BIOMETRIC Digital  instrument/ Lab Top and update  LIFE CERTIFICATE..

THIS IS THE UNFORTUNATE HAPPENINGS .

WE  Request all our ESM Associations and Organisations to bring this kind of happenings to higher ups and help such incapacitate pensioners in  their areas.

The below mentioned Widow  visited our Trust Office  for Jeevan Praman- Biometric Digital scheme.

PDA: SBI- Tirunelveli Dist.

We tried in our system for Biometric Digital for finger print  and Eye catching.

As the pensioner is very old,  finger print and EYE  is not catching in the printer.  Hence, we could not update.

We contacted the Pension paying Branch , and requested them to accept Manual submission of Life Certificate.

The widow was taken to Branch  and submitted Manual Life Certificate-  The Branch has accepted .

The Widow  expressed her sincere thanks for the help extended  by our Trust.
