PDA: Syndicate Bank, Tirunelveli-Dist, TN.
Now a Sangam Project PPO No. s/corr/6th
cpc/ 362681/2014 is issued in the name of deceased sepoy, in that there is no
mention of family pension.
Hence, the PDA has stopped
paying pension to the widow.
On enquiry by the widow, the
PDA has told her that there is no family pension in the Sangam PPO, hence we
have stopped pension. Also they have questioned the widow, how she was being
paid pension so long.
The aggrieved widow came and
reported the same to us.
On verifying the available
documents with her we noticed that the JOINT Notification is available in her
favour.
Immediately we contacted the
PDA and informed that as the Joint Notification is available, she is eligible
for family pension and the Sangam PPO
should not be considered as per CDA cir
163 and 181.
These circulars say that, if
there is any variation in the Sangam PPO, it should not be acted up on, the PPO
to be sent back or a clarification to be sought from Record Office / PCDA.
We have also reported this
stoppage of pension to CPPC, Syndicate Bank for immediate restoration of
pension.
The aggrieved widow was very happy of our action and
thanked us for this help.
Our Trust is also happy in
helping a widow due to ill effect of
Sangam PPO>
