On our interaction with
veterans and Family pensioners we noticed that the Banks have not stopped
payment of FMA for ECHS members.
Our ECHS was established
from 1-4-2004.
One of the Documents to join ECHs was a certificate
of stoppage of FMA from Banks.
ESMs have obtained the
certificate and joined the ECHS and availing the treatments.
Now, when they call on us
for checking the correctness of their pension, on going through their Pass book
entries, we noticed that many pensioners/ Family pensioners are still receiving FMA in spite of their
submission of the certificate.
For such people we advise
them to inform the PDA in writing to
stop the FMA immediately and recover the
paid FMA amount in easy monthly installments.
Many PDAs are telling that
, as the credit is coming from CPPC, we cannot do anything in this regard.
But the PDAs on coming to
know this, are insisting the pensioners to refund the whole amount about 25000
to 35000 in one installment which is not
advisable.
Some Banks are accepting
the installments.
This happening is not on the fault of pensioners, the Bankers have
not up dated the DATAs in the system.
THIS IS THE POSITION.
In view of the above
facts, all the ESM-ECHS veterans are
requested to check the entitled pension and confirm that they are not receiving
the FMA along with pension to avoid hardship at later stage .
