INJUSTICE METED OUT TO A WIDOW OF A HONY.CAPTAIN



Smt.Soosaiammal  expressing her sincere thanks  to our Liaison Officer Sgt.S.Kanthiah .

Smt.Soosai Ammal  W/O late Arockiam , on hearing the services of our Trust, came to our Office all the way from  a remote village   some 40 km away.

She is wife of Hony.Capt.(Sub.Maj)  Arockiam   , 29 yrs of service.
After the demise of the Captain, Smt,Soosai Ammal was sanctioned with Ordinary family pension  for the Rank of Hony.Capt from 1987.   F/NA/3681/4987.
PDA: Central Bank of India, Turicorin Dist, TN.

The Bank was paying pension for the Rank of Sepoy only and even now continuing the same.
In spite of her repeated requests and representations the Bank did not revise the pension and she was  made to run pillar to post with depressed mind .
Hence, she approached the Defence Adalat Cell at Coimbatore  in 2008 and after verifying the records, The Adalart Officer has instructed the bank to  Revise the pension for the Rank of Hony.Capt  in 2009 .  It all went in Deaf year and in vain.  The Bank never revised the pension till today..

Now the poor widow has approached us for a help in this situation.

We immediately  contacted the PDA and as usual they showed their indifferent attitude towards pensioners  by not prepared to hear us.

We were constrained to report the case to their Regional Office, Zonal Office , and CPPC .
 And a mail to their Chairman .We have also complained to Ombudsman, RBI Chennai informing the in-ordinate delay  and claiming interest .
The  aggrieved widow was happy of our actions and sincerely expressed her gratitude for such a help to Ex-Servicemen community.


Our Trust is satisfied in extending help to a worried widow of 73 yrs old.
