ONE MORE DISABILITY PENSIONER HELPED

On coming to know the activities of our Welfare Trust , one Ex-SepN.AKODARAN ,

a Disability pensioner called on at our Office.

PDA: Indian Bank, Kattumannar koil, Cuddalor- Dist, Tamil Nadu

Invalidated Disability Element; 60% for life.

He has lost his fingers on both the hands during Bomb throwing operation in 1965 war. On going through his pension papers, we noticed that he was sanctioned INVALIDATED DISABILITY pension of 60% for life, hence eliginble for BROAD BANDING OF DISABILITY PENSION.

We prepared the required Annexures in Triplicate as per CDA Cir 429, and asked him to obtain the signature of PDA and forward to Record office for doing the needful. The hadicapped Veteran was immensly happy and thanked us for informing the Broad banding and helping in this regard.

On our request, the happy veteran agreed to pose for a photograph with his wife.

Our Trust is happy and satisfied in helping one more Disability pensioner and

We are on lookout for many more such needy veterans.

On our continued efforts and search, we came to know that one Ex.Sep .IYYASAMY

was being paid the Un-revised disability pension .

His particulars are :

Total Service- 12Yrs PPO.No: D/ 1303/76 DOC : 19-3-1976

Disability Element: 30% Being paid at 465/- Instead of 1053

PDA : Central Bank of India, Kovilpatti, Tuticorin-Dist, Tamil Nadu

Arrears Worked out to be : 37912/-

We brought this discrepancy to the Senior Manager Mr.RG.Pal and he was kind enough to accept our findings and submission and promised to revise the pension and pay the arrears in this month itself along with the monthly pension, for which act our Trust expressed our gratitude to him.

We are satisfied with our efforts in getting the disability pension revised for the aged veteran.

DISTRESSED MASTER WARRANT OFFICER HELPED BY OUR TRUST

MWO.MR.Pillai is receiving a copy of our letter to CPPC, Chennai from our Chief Liaison Officer. Our Chief admin Officer and Financial Trustee are looking at the happy and smiling face the worried MWO.

On our continued search and contacts, we came to know that the pension of MWO MR.Pillai was not revised;


His particulars are :

Total service- 37yrs 8 months. PPO.No;08/14/B/07045/97 and 08/14/B/corr/10448/99

PDA : SBI-Tirunelveli-Junction, Tamil Nadu SB a/c No: 10765040658


His pension was revised as per MOD letter dated 11-11-2008 as 11913/-w.e.f 1-1-2006 but was not revises as per the latest CDA Cir 430 w.e.f 1-7-2009 as Rs.12285/-.

He had complained to the branch many times but no response,and was worried.

We contacted the Chief Manager at Chennai over phone and informed the discrepancy of non-revision of pension w.e.f 1-7-2009, and he was kind enough to hear us and agreed to revise the pension on receipt of our representation early.


The worried Master Warrant Officer was happy of our quick action and was relieved of his mental agony. He thanked our Trust for such a help.

ONE MORE OCTOGENARIAN HELPED BY OUR TRUST

Hav.V.Savari Muthu is receiving a copy of Letter to CPPC from our Chief Liaison officer .

YET ANOTHER OCTOGENARIAN HELPED BY OUR TRUST.

In our persistent efforts, we came to know that one Hav.V.Savari Muthu, of 85 yrs old was receiving un- revised pension.

His full particulars are :

Name : V.SAVARI MUTHU Rank: Hav Group- ‘D” Ser.No: 2534070

Date of Birth- 1-7-1925 Dt.of Discharge- 10-10-1970 Total Service- 22yrs.

PPO.No: S/ 0221404/70 AND S/R/ MODP/026536/2001 Records : MRC

PDA: SBI- Mela Ilanthaikulam, Tirunelveli-Dist, Tamil Nadu.

His basic pension was revised as Rs.4566 + 914 w.e.f 1-1-2006 but not revise as per latest CDA Cir 430. Also he was not paid 30% of Additional pension from 1-7-2010.

This discrepancy was informed to The Chief Manager, SBI, CPPC at Chennai and he was kind enough to do the needful and asked us to submit the particulars with arrears calculation.

The Existing pension….4566+914= 5480 will be revised as 6127+1838= 7965, thus a difference of Rs.2485 in basic pension per month.

On enquiry about his family, we came to know that one of his daughters is a Widow. He was so much happy to know from us that his daughter is also eligible for family pension after his/spouse demise.

The Octogenarian Hav.V.Savari Muthu was watching all our actions and conversations with Bank officials and was pleased with our activities and expressed his gratitude to the Trust members.

Our Trust is satisfied by extending all possible help to the aged veteran.

Though about 2 years going to be completed after announcement of VI th Pay commission, the pension of Hony.Capt.R.Bala Subramanian was not correctly revised as per CDA Cir 403.

In spite his number of correspondences with Record Office, CDA and Bank, the revision could not be done. Our Trust members came to know this during the District Association Anniversary meeting on 5-9-2010. We called the Captain to our office , verified his records and confirmed the non- revision.


Our Chief Liaison Officer, S.Kanthiah, immediately contacted the Officials at Canara bank Circle Office, Madurai and informed the un-fortunate happenings. Due to our very good rapport with Canara Bank, the Officer at Madurai agreed to revise the pension and pay the arrears in this month itself on receipt of our written submission along with arrears calculation. The conversation took place in the presence of the Hony.Capt and he was taken aback and was so happy and expressed his gratitude for our quick and result oriented action of our Welfare Trust thus relieving his mental agony and financial hard ship. The arrears worked is about a Lak plus.


Our Trust is satisfied in helping the aggrieved Hony.Captain and we strive for further hunting.

During our intensive efforts to help the Ex-Servicemen , we learnt that one Ex-Signalman Thangiah Pillai Ganesan ( 6318992) was drawing this pension through Indian Overseas Bank, Thovalai branch , Nagercoil . The branch has stopped his service element of Disability pension and was paying only Rs.945/- per month .

We took up the case with Signals Record office, Jabalpur and received a prompt reply from them confirming that he is eligible for Service element and Disability element of 20%.

When we informed the same to the Signalman, he was immensely happy and expressed his gratitude for helping in getting his full pension and relieving his financial hardship.
