26TH CASE OF SWITCHING OVER TO FAMILY PENSION.

 

Sucibai Chandramadi  W/o late  Sep. A.Isaac Jothimoney   and her Daughter in Law. at our Office

        One  vertean Sepoy A. ISAAC JOTHI MONEY  - (6868464 ) , AOC, Secunderabad, RO,   died on

 11-09-2023.     His account was Migrated to Sparsh.

 

The widow  visited our Trust office, and requested us to help in getting her family pension.

 

We, Initiated the steps  like reporting the death with death certificate,  and Claimants particulars in the month of October 2023.

There were so many observations, in our reports.   After Lodging  complaints in service request and CPENGRAMS few times,  we have now received  the message that, the family pension has been generated .PPO generated  .   After about 7 months, the Family pension is sanctioned.

 

The widow visited  our Trust,    We logged in the system, crated  Pass word  and submitted LIFE CERTIFICATE   on 27-04-2024.       We down loaded the  copies PPO, Pension slip, pension entitlement, and declaration  and handed over to the widow.

The widow along with her Daughter-in Law  were very happy and  thanked us for all the helps extended by our Trust.

Our Trust is also happy  in helping one more widow , the 26^th  case..

 

 

 

 

WHAT TO DO IF A PRE-1985 VETERAN DIED WITHOUT ENDORSEMENT OF FAMILY PENSION

 

Dear veteran brothers, , 

We have  time and again  advising  our veterans , to confirm that all Pre-1985  retirees, have applied for endorsement of family pension  / joint notification  to avoid great hardships to their WIFE  in getting their family pension.   We are sorry to note  that still some  veterans have not done so.  

We request  you  all to check up whether  the copy of JOINT NOTIFICATION PPO is available  if not available , please apply for a duplicate copy from your Record Office.

There was no Joint Notification of spouse in the PPO prior to 1-4-1984. Time and again it was emphasized to apply for Endorsement of Family pension by the Living Pensioners. It was not taken seriously by the pensioners. Many widows face financial harship due to the non-availability of Joint Notification.

When the pensioner dies without Joint Notification, the Widow has to do the followings:

Ensure that her name is in the Discharge Certificate/ PPO. If the Part II order has been published for marriage, the name will be there positively.

Intimate the death of her husband to the respective Record Office along with the Original Death certificate and also to the Bank branch from where her husband was drawing pension.

Then send a Claim  application for Family pension to Record Office..

If everything is in order in the service records, the record office will send the Claim form set in Triplicate.

The claim form will contain::

Non-Re-marriage certificate, LTA certificate, Bank details( she has to open a bank a/c) and other family details.

Pass port size photo( 3 numbers) duly attested by Soldiers board/ Gazetted Officer., Thumb impression of all fingers,

Legal heir certificate, Domicile certificate from Village Admin.officer , 2 witnesses by Local respectable people.

If the widow happened to be Second wife, then the particulars of the children born to the first wife to be furnished . In this case, if the children fulfill the conditions, then the pension will be divided.

The set of forms in Triplicate, duly filled, signed, attested to be send to Record Office through District Sainik board.

If there is un-due delay in claiming for pension, the reason to be informed

.

If all the particulars , required certificates are correctly sent, the Sanction order for Family pension will be received from CDA/ RO with in a period of six months.

All veterans are requested to help such widows in your area to avoid financial hardship to the grieved family.
