Dear All,

Veteran TS.Naik, DEVA DUNAI, was working in our GOLDEN PALM CANTEEN, TIRUNELVELI , for about   TWO decades. 

He was  so kind, polite, affectionate  and a charming person , liked by one and all the members and Family pensioners .

HE  WAS CALLED BY  NICK NAME  AS ETTAYYA - means  Head constable  due to his physical appearance. 

HE IS RETIRING TODAY, 28-02-2023.  after serving  for about 20 yrs in canteen.

All canteen staffs and other members  gave a very HAPPY FAREWELL  to him and escorted him up to his home  with all Drum beatings.

WE, THE EXWEL TRUST MEMBERS, WISH HIM A  LONG, HEALTHY AND HAPPY RETIRED LIFE,

OROP II ARREARS IN FULL.

 

Dear Veterans and Family pensioners,

It is a good news that  all eligible pensioners will get their OROP II  arrears in one go.   

No ,question of installments.

As per CDA circular 667,  all pensioners whose pension is revised as per OROP II  will get their arrears  in one installment  by 15th March 2023.  

 

GOOD NEWS FOR RESERVIST PENSIONERS

Dear Veteran brothers , 

We are happy  that one  Reservist  -  Air force Cpl.   (9+6 yrs)    approached AFT , CHENNAI  for revising his pension  as per    Army Regulation 1961- part I, para 155..  The rule says  that, the Reservist pension  shall be  2/3 of  a Sepoy,s  minimum   pension .

On this clause, a case was filed   in AFT Chennai by   Advocate  Vet.Sgt.Sikdar

Case no;   OA 145/2020.     The AFT court gave verdict  in favour of the petitioner,

 Court  directed   the  AIR FORCE  AND PCDA  to revise the pension of the reservist  as  2/3  of Minimum pension of  a Sepoy/ Airman/ Sailor  as on 01-01-2016.

The Minimum pension  of an Airman as on 01-01-2016 is 17130.  And 2/3 is  11420/-

Now, the  Vet.Cpl received  the Corr PPO   and got his arrears  also w.e.f  01-01-2016.. 

All affected  RESERVISTS,  getting  basic pension of Rs.9000/  may approach AFT   for getting the pension revised  as 11420 as on date. 

NOTE:  there was no reservist pension in NAVY,  This was introduced  recently  as SPECIAL PENSION    for those who had completed 10 yrs and were sent out .   All the affected  Naval veterans applied and receiving their Special pension , and availing  alL the facilities  including ECHS.,. 

Some of them  represented to Naval Authorities that, , they held the Ranks of  Sailor, Leading Seaman and Petty Officer and so  on at the time of their discharge  but  giving  pension of Sailor only.  They should be paid pension as per Rank, group and length of service.

The Naval authorities, considered their representation and  started sanctioning  pension as per their Ranks which is very much encouraging .   Some of other reservists may also can try.

 All our ESM Associations are requested to guide  the reservists in their areas  suitably to get the benefit.

there is an Advisory from MD ECHS  regarding the  - NO NEED FOR REFERRAL  FOR REPORTING TO IMPANELED HOSPITAL  FOR 80 YRS AND ABOVE ECHS MEMBERS.

We are repeating the same Advisory once again.   Our ECHS members please  inform the elderly members  about this to avoid unnecessary  visits to Polyclinic for obtaining  Referral.

OUR BRAVE VETERANS AND FAMILIES- DHARNA AT JANTAR MANTAR.

                                OUR VETERANS  ON DHARNA AT JANTAR MANTAR - NEW DELHI 

                                  OUR BRAVE VETERANS AND FAMILIES AT JANTAR MANATAR.

Our brave veterans and  family pensioners are holdin a DHARNA  ar JANTAR MANTAR, NEW DELHI  today(20-02-2023)   to express our dismay and Anguish  towards thwe OROP-II  revision. 

See that, one Col of 30yrs of service is getting an arrears of 643843  and one installment as 160961.  Where as one JCO, say Subedar/ Subedar Major Hony.Lts, Hony.Captains , having  28 yrs and above service is getting Nothing-  Fixed at Minus.    Is it not a injustice.

To  explain all this injustices, not only this, many other issues , like  Reservist  pension, Liberalised/ Special Family  pension and Hony.NB.Sub pension etc.,our Govt/ MOD not bothered .

Hence, our JCOs ORs  Association  , called for a Dharna  today (20-02-2023 )  and Hundreds of veterans and families have participating  in this DHARNA.

The under mentioned  Widows  approached us for a help in getting their Family pension   from SPARSH PORTAL  after the death of their husbands,  The pension a/c s were Migrated to SPARSH during  the   life time of their husband.

  We reported the occurrence of Death and Initiated  family pension through  SPARSH PORTAL.

Then received the  intimation of Disqualification of pensioner   and  generation of  Sparsh PPO and  User ID  for the widows.

We created new pass word for them, submitted Undertaking/declaration  /Aadhar consent.

Then, submitted LIFE CERTIFICATE  through  DLC / MLC/ Jeevan Pramaan.

Then  we have down loaded the PPO for them.

Out of these,7 widows have received their pension.  Others may get during this month.

The widows were very happy with our valuable service and thanked us .

Our Trust is also satisfied in helping the widows in getting their family pension sanctioned.

All our ESM associations are requested to help  such widows in your areas or guide them to approach us..
