We take one Example:

Rank:  CPO /chief Art( Navy)   Group- X   QS: 15 yrs 

 Date.of Discharge  31-7-2015         

Last Pay drawn  :   16020   Gr.Pay: 4200   MSP-2000    X-Gp- 1400

                                 Total:  23620-   Pension  50%=    11810   OK

w.e.f 1-1-2016-     As per 7^th CPC-  11810 X 2.57=  30352….it is also OK

Now : Notional  fixation  at a glance

      LP+Gr.Pay=  16020+4200= 20220  X 2.57= 51965  rounded to   52000-

  As per  EPPO, Notional pay is   52000-   It  seems OK    but not in all cases

Here  ,  52000 + MSP 5200 + X.gp.6200= Total =  63400……

               Pension  50%-     63400/2= 31700  ….Ok

He was drawing  pension  - 30352      Now it is  31700 

- A difference of  1348.   This is effective from 01-01-2016.

This  calculation seems to be reasonable.

 

But, when we check with other EPPOs, it is not tallied.
