The Tamil Nadu government has accorded temporary exemption of the annual mustering process, including the furnishing of life certificate/digital life certificate through the Jeevan Pramaan portal for 2021 as a special case, in view of the pandemic. A G.O. issued by the Finance Department on May 26 said the decision followed a request by the Pensioners Association and a proposal of the Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts.

Though the generation of digital life certificate by the pensioners can be done through the Jeevan Pramaan portal, the old-aged pensioners/family pensioners were in the practice of annual mustering and "it may not be appropriate" to insist them to approach e-Sevai Common Service Centres during the COVID-19 pandemic period for furnishing digital Life certificate, it noted.

SAD DEMISE OF A 100 YRS OLD AIR VETERAN

 

Air Veteran,  Warrant Officer  PD.PANDIAN  ( 46633 ) 

 celebrated his 100 th Birth day  on 08-06-2020.,

Our Air Force Officers from , Air Force Station, Trivandram  Felicitated  him on that occasion

 and wished him to live for many more years.

Now, We regret to inform  that ,  he expired on  23-05-2021 at his residence.

He was a well wisher of our EXWEL Trust, visited  our Trust , many a times,

  VALUABLE INFORMATION FOR PENSIONERS/FAMILY PENSIONERS

 

The Last date for submission of LIFE CERTIFICATE   was extended up to 28-02-2021.  Still many pensioners have not submitted due to various reasons.  

For them , the pension from  March 2021 is not credited.

Veterans and Family pensioners have expressed their hardship in this regard.

Bank authorities have informed such pensioners to submit LIFE  CERTIFICATE THROUGH  JEEVAN PRAMAAN   -   Some have  done it . 

In this present  COVID-19 situation, our MOD has  informed  CGDA  for extending the time up to   30^th September 2021  vide their ltr dt. 21-05-2021 

It is requested that, those who have not submitted  Life Certificate and not received pension after March 2021 , may submit  immediately to their Bank branches/   Jeevan Pramaan method  .

DISPENSING WITH BSR CODE IN PENSION CLAIM APPLICATION

     

                          

Dear Veteran Bothers,

We all know  that , in every Pension Claims  or Pension related applications, there is one annexure  for  Bank details.   In that,they require  BSR code of the Bank branch.

Many of us are not knowing the BSR code,  only IFSC code and MICR code  is printed in the Pass Book.  Hence , we leave the column unfilled.

Due to this difficulty ,  the GOI , Pension & Pension Welfare Dept.  has published  one Memorandum  for DISPENSING  BSR CODE.

 Now, we need not worry  about BSR code.  Leave it blank.

All our ESM Associations and Orgs may  guide our veterans  in their area.

Subject:Dispensing with the requirement ofBSR code of bank from the pension claim forms****

*While submitting pension claim form, a retiree or family member has to provide the detail of his/her bank account, IFSC and BSR code of concerned bank branch. This Department has received many representations from retirees to dispense with the requirement of BSR codes from pension claim form as it is neither written in the passbook nor available on the website of concerned bank. In order to get information of the BSR code, sometimes a retiree has to make multiple visitsto the concerned bank branch.

2.Therefore in order to avoid hardship of retiree and family members, it has been decided to dispense with the requirement of BSR code for processing all type pension cases with immediate effect. Henceforth a retiree or family pensioner will not be required to provide detail of BSR codewhile submitting form 5 or form 14. Only the bank account detail along with IFSC will be taken for processing the pension claim.

 3.The Administrative Divisions of all Ministries/Department and attached/subordinate offices are requested to bring these instructions to the notice of all concerned for compliance.

 There is provision, compulsory for Nomination  all Deposits/ Safety Lockers in Banks as per  BANKING LAW ( Nomination ) Act 1983.

There is also Nomination exclusively for Pension arrears- LIFE TIME ARREARS.

RBI  INSTRUCTIONS ARE CLEAR IN THIS REGARD.

 But , some Banks  demand Legal heir certificate  and their consent  for payment to the Nominee like normal Death claim  procedure thus the very purpose of nomination is defeated.

To avoid Hardship in claiming  the LTA of a deceased pensioner by Nominee, 

 it is advised  that  the Nomination  FORM-A   as per RBI instructions may be submitted  by the Pensioners in Triplicate  and confirm having uploaded in the system.

All our Ex-Servicemen Associations/  Organisations  are requested to guide  the veterans and Families in their area  in submitting the Nomination in Form.A.
