                          KNOW MORE ABOUT FAMILY PENSION.

Many of our Veterans  want to know  about the Types and Rates of Family pension;

TYPES OF FAMILY PENSION;

1 Normal Ordinary Family pension.

2. Normal Enhanced Rate of Family pension

3. Special Family pension  - 2^nd award of special Family pension

4. Liberalised Family pension    -  2^nd award of Liberalised Family pension.

5.  Divided family pension

RATES OF FAMILY PENSION:   RANK AND GROUP- QUALIFYING SERVICE. 

Normal Ordinary  Family pension  is 30% of Reckonable Emolument

Normal  Enhanced Rate of Family pension    is  50% of Reckonable emolument.

Special Family pension  is  60 % of Reckonable Emolument  

Liberalised Family pension  is 100%  of Reckonable  emolument .

Divided Family pension  is shared at 50%  for each- as per instructions from Authorities.

2^nd Wife and One child of First wife,    Wife and  Parents of Deceased soldier etc.. 

As we may not know the  Reckonable Emolument ,  it is easy  to arrive the Rate from the pension of veteran/ deceased veteran.

As on Date , it is as follows: 

Normal Ordinary Family pension is  60% of  veterans pension.

Normal Enhanced Rate of Family pension  is  100% of veterans pension. 

Special Family pension  is  120% of  veterans Pension

2^nd Award of Special Family pension is  50 % of Special family pension. 

Liberalised Family pension:  Normally , it is granted for those who are killed in war or War like activities.   Hence, the  Reckonable emolument of  deceased soldier will be  the Rate.

At a glance, it is 200% of veteran’s pension.

FOR EXAMPLE:   Let us take a case of say Hav- Gp- Y   QS; 20 yrs.- 7795X2.57=20034

OFP…………20034 X 60%....=12021

ENHANCED Rate :  20034 X 100%=  20034

SFP………..  20034 X 120%  =24040

Lib,FP…….  20034 X 200% =  40078

Likewise, we can arrive for all Ranks-  Cross check from  OROP Tables.

All veteran brothers can guide  our veterans and families suitably.

 

ONE VETERAN SGT HELPED AND GUIDED AS PER CDA CIR 607

 

                           Veteran Sgt. A. MOHAMEDALI JINNAH at our Trust Office.

On hearing the services of our Welfare Trust, the below mentioned  veteran  visited our Trust  for  a help.

Name: A.MOHAMEDALI JINNAH     Rank: Sgt   Serv.no; 294507  QS; 21 yrs.

Trade: ACHGD     Group –IV.   Date of Discharge: 31-01-1988.

 

As per CDA cir 607,  this Trade is to be considered as Group  “ Y”  instead of Group-IV  with effect from  10-10-1997.

Their pension may be revised from 01-07-2009 to 30-06-2014 and arrears paid .

Accordingly , this veteran is eligible for this benefit.

We prepared  an application  and Arrears calculation

i.e the difference  between  the Rate for GP  Y and IV as per CDA cir 430  

 - 1-7-2009 to 23-9-2012 and   cir 501. 24-9-2012 to 30-6-2014.

We guided the Veteran to forward it to  Directorate of Air Veteran and

 JCDA, Air Forc, New Delhi  for issuance of instructions and Revised PPO

  for this eligible benefit. 

The veteran Sgt was very much satisfied with our action and Thanked us for this help  and guidance.

Our Trust is happy in helping  the 7^th such case.

 

YET ANOTHER VETERAN HELPED FOR CHANGE OF NAME AND DOB OF HIS WIFE - 7TH CASE.

 

        

                    VETERAN NK  S.KARUPPASAMY AND HIS WIFE  SMT CHELLAMMAL

One veteran, Nk.S.Karuppasamy , approached our Trust for a help  in changing the Name and  date of Birth of his wife.

 Name: S.karuppasamy   Rank: Nk  Regt.no: 8024654 A,  RO; Sikh Regiment.

Name  of his wife- Actual :  CHELLAMMAL    DOB: 18-03-1961 as per Aadhar and PAN cards.

But, in Service record/ PPO :  Name  M R CHELLANAN     DOB: 11-06-1962.. 

 We prepared the Application, Affidavit,  Self Declaration ,News Paper publication  in this regard and  guided him to forward  to  his Record Office through  Zilla Sainik board, Tirunelveli dist, TN 

The veteran and his wife  expressed their sincere thanks  for this valuable  help and guidance.

Our  Trust is satisfied in helping one more  Veteran,  7^th case .

In an attempt to acknowledge the efforts of women in breaking down the stereotypes in erstwhile male-dominated maritime sector, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has flagged off an all-women crew onboard Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) vessel MT Swarna Krishna, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways said on Sunday.
