OUR TRUST MEMBERS ATTENDED  OPENING  CEREMONY  IN ECHS.

On the invitation from our O I/C  Poly clinic, ECHS, Tirunelveli,  Tamil Nadu,

Our Trust members  participated in the function on 26-08-2019.

A  WAITING HALL FOR VETERANS , ECHS members  was declared open for use by

Surg.Rear Admiral  SHEILA  S MATHAI  -VSM  Of our Stn.HQ, INS Kattabomman.

More than  50 ECHS members  attended the function.  It was a lively function.

Few of our ECHS members expressed the positive and negative of our Clinic.

Our Chief Admin,Officer  Hony.Flt.Lt. M.Packia Natarajan (Retd)  requested the Naval Officials to Distribute the 64 Kb cards  at Poly Clinic , more than One day in a month.  

      Our Liaison Officer Sgt.S.Kanthiah(Retd) expressed the difficulties faced by the members  for not getting the  renewed cards, particularly 16 Kb cards,   even after ONE year of renewal.    On the Status inquiry  ,  it says,   verification completed by Record Offices , and pending for printing , but it is more than a year.  We had represented the issue with the list of pending cases.  But  No progress.

The visiting officials  advised us to provide a copy of long pending cases so that they will take up the case with higher ups for early disposal.

As a whole the function was nice .  The Hall is spacious .  There is a provision for TWO and FOUR wheeler parking also.

Our O I/c Poly Clinic  thanked our Trust Members for attending the function.

We reported the occurrence to Air Force for further  action,.

DAV  has sent the related claim forms.

We helped the widow in filling up the forms, duly signed, attested  and forwarded to DAV.

Now, she has received the first pension and Death Grant from AF Benevolent fund- 

The widow was very happy with our actions and thanked us for all the help extended by our Trust.

We are happy in helping on NC(E) pensioners.

We have written to SBI, CPPC , Chennai for immediate payment of Additional pension  providing the copies of Aadhar, PAN cards for proof of DOB.
 

Today is her  81^st Birth Day .

PATHETIC CONDITION OF ECHS POLYCLINIC BUILDING- TIRUNELVELI

THE PATHETIC CONDITION OF ECHS POLYCLINIC TIRUNELVELI

The new building of ECHS Tirunelveli was inaugurated only on 03 Sep 2017.  Within two years of its inauguration, the ceiling of the building cracked twice and injured One Polyclinic Staff and one Visiting patient. (one Miss.Sorna, Lab Technician and Ex.JWO Peter (Patient)

This is the condition of a new building constructed by MES.  Utter negligence has been shown for the electrical wiring.  Very poor earthing damages the costly instruments.  The Air conditioners are not working properly.  The waiting hall is congested.  Only one toilet for the 150 patients visiting daily.  The main entrance  gate is at the turning point of a main road, prone to accidents.

The floor of the clinic is slippery, some aged patients are falling down on the waiting hall frequently.  Please look at the slope (in the photo) at the entrance of the clinic. This is a disgrace to the MES of the Navy.

The Naval Officers  at INS Kattabomman and at Vizakapatnam have given utter disregard to the welfare of Ex-servicemen.  Let the Navy hand over the Polyclinic to Army  control under Trivandrum.  The Station Headquarters INS Kattabomman is shown utter disregard to the Ex-servicemen.  They may please hand over the clinic to Army Control for better management and day to day adminstration.

This is  the slippery sloppy entrance to the clinic.

There are lot of problems with the ECHS System.  Most of the good empanelled 

hospitals in Chennai (Miot, Global) are going out of ECHS system, because of 

bill payment and other problems.  Coimbatore Hospitals totally avoiding ECHS Scheme.

The patients are made to run between ECHS at MH and MH at Eekattuthangal and other hospitals.

The movement of the patients in a large city like Chennai is very costly and painful.

Sometimes the members feel to pay and take treatment in any hospital instead of 

running up and down for free treatment.

Any email complaint given to the MD ECHS never gets reply.  Most of the medicines are 

not available at the clinic.  Local purchase also restricted to great extent.

In spite of paying a Lumpsum amount and monthly Rs.1000 to the scheme, the members 

have to beg for better medicine and treatment.

THE PERFORMANCE OF ECH SCHEME IS NOT GOOD

IT NEEDS IMMEDIATE IMPROVEMENT

OR SOME ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF TREATMENT.
