RECORDING OF PPO NUMBER IN BANK PASS BOOK

RECORDING OF PPO NUMBER IN THE BANK PASS BOOK OF DEFENCE PENSIONERS.

Instances have come to the notices of the Authorities that , when ever  a PPO is Lost or misplaced , the pensioners has to apply for a DUPLICATE PPO. Also at. the time of Transfer from one Bank to another, and switching over  to Family pension the PPO number is a must.

But the pensioners / Family pensioners are not aware and not  having  the copy PPO  or the Number of PPO, hence, the Authorities are finding it difficult to issue A Duplicate PPO, thus abnormal Delay .

To obviate this delay and situation it  is now decided to INCORPORATE  the PPO number in the Bank pass book itself,  and all Banks are instructed to Note the PPO numbers in the Bank Pass Book vide CDA Circular  185 dated 28-11-2016.
All our veterans and Family pensioners  may approach their Banker
To add their PPO number in their Pass Book,.

When we want to Transfer pension a/c from one bank/ branch to another PPO no.is reqd. When switching over to Family pension PPO no. reqd. Like wise for many purpose the PPO no is required, hence recording the PPO no. in the pass book is very useful.
