YET ANOTHER ACHIEVEMENT- WAR INJURY PENSIONER HELPED

One Air Force Corporal was Hit by bullet in Indo-Pak war in 1965.

He was invalided out with an Ordinary disability pension.

He was being paid  a pension of Rs.3500+ 702 .

We represented the case to AFRO and the PCDA,  Allahabad stating that , he was eligible for a War Injury element.

After series of correspondences  and intensive efforts for about a year, they have  now agreed with our findings and submission and issued a PPO informing that he is eligible for WAR INJURY PENSION 

from 12-2-1994.

We had further requested them that he is invalided out and eligible for minimum of 50% disability , which is also sanctioned   vide PPO.NO; AF/ D/BC/CORR/0482/2012.

He is sanctioned with service Element - 
 Full service= 4364/-

War injury Element of 50%.... 4800/-
He will be receiving an arrears of 4 lacs plus.

The aggrieved Air Veteran  along with his family members expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude for such a help.  They also expressed that but for the efforts of the Trust , he could have not got this revision and it might have  gone unnoticed. There may be many more such cases..

NATURAL MEDICINE FOR DENGUE FEVER-

Dengue Fever Remedy

I would like to share this interesting discovery from a classmate's son who has just recovered from dengue fever. Apparently, his son was in the critical stage at the ICU when his blood platelet count drops to 15000 after 15 liters of blood transfusion.

His father was so worried that he seeks another friend's recommendation and his son was saved. He confessed to me that he gave his son raw juice of the papaya leaves. From a platelet count of 45000 after 20 liters of blood transfusion, and after drinking the raw papaya leaf juice, his platelet count jumps instantly to 135000. Even the doctors and nurses were surprised. After the second day he was discharged. So he asked me to pass this good news around.

Accordingly it is raw papaya leaves, two pcs, cleaned and pound and squeeze with filter cloth. You will only get one tablespoon per leaf. So two tablespoon per serving once a day.

Do not boil or cook or rinse with hot water, it will lose its strength. Only the leafy part and no stem or sap. It is bitter and you have to swallow it like. But it works.

Papaya leaf juice is a natural cure for dengue fever. As dengue fever is rampant now, I think it's good to share this with all.

Incidentally Papaya leaf cut in three, a portion taken each day helps as a general tonic. Ayurvedically. Even in normal times, they say.

EXWEL TRUST CELEBRATES SARASWATHI POOJA

Saraswathi Pooja was performed at the Premises Of Exwel  Trust. The Managing Trustee Sgt.R.Chellappa and other Trustees were present. Chief Liaison Officer Sgt.S.Kanthiah and Financial Trustee Sgt.C.Muthukrishnan  made all the arrangements for the Pooja.

Prasadam was distributed to the devotees who were present in the Pooja.

NEW PROCEDURE FOR DISABILITY PENSION CALCULATION.

NEW PROCEDURE TO CALCULATE DISABILITY  ELEMENT.

As per the earlier Pay commissions, the Rate of Disability elements was  at a fixed Rate for Ranks.

For example as per V th Pay Commission,

100% Disability element for a Sepoy to Havildar was-----1550.00

For JCOs…………………………………………………………………………1900.00

For Commissioned Officers including Hony.Offrs…………   2600.00

This was a flat Rate.

Now as per latest orders  ( Ref.CDA cir 485), the Disability Element is calculated on the Emolument drawn by the soldier at the time of retirement/ discharge.   Hence the DE will vary for each soldier .

A Naik,  Group- Y,    Qly.Service-16.5 yrs ,  Post 2006 retiree:

 Pay scale :  Pay-7870,  Grade pay-2400,  MSP-2000, Class All-150= 12420

So his emolument was= 12420,    Disability of 100% = 30% of emolument So  100 % DE will be=  12420*30= 3720.

Now,  say his Disability Element sanctioned was  20% 

His DE will be 20% of  3720=  744/.       

Earlier it was  a flat rate of 3510*20%=702.

Like wise each individual will get different rate of Disability element according to his Emolument.

Note:  This DE is eligible on the Rank at which he was discharged  and not on the Rank on which he became Disabled . 

On calculation under the new order, there is no effect for Pre-2006 retirees up to the rank of Havildar.  Nb.Sub and above are benefited. 

Dear veteran brothers, the affected people can approach their Banks for getting the enhanced Disability pension.

GRANT OF PENSION TO HONORARY OFFICERS

1.            The JCOs granted Honorary Ranks in the three services are considered as part of the other Ranks.  Their pensionary matters are accordingly decided at par with Other Ranks including implementation of the Sixth Central Pay Commission recommendations.  A committee was constituted under Cabinet Secretary to consider ‘One Rank One Pension’.

2.            The committee while not recommending grant of ‘One Rank One Pension’ to Pre 01.01.06 retired Other Ranks, made recommendations for grant of higher pension to Pre 01.01.06 retired Other Ranks.  However, in the order issued for implementation of the above recommendations vide MoD OM No.PC 10(1)/2009-D (Pen/Pol) dated 08 Mar 2010, the benefit has not been extended to the Pre 01.01.06 retired Honorary Ranks.

3.            The courts have decided in favour of the Pre 01.01.06 Honorary Ranks in a number of cases and directed upward revision of pension to them at par with Other ranks in terms of MoD letter No.PC 10(1)/2009-D(Pen/Pol) dated 08 Mar 2010.  However, benefits of these orders are being granted only to the petitioners and are not being extended to other similarly placed personnel.

HALF MARATHAN RACE BY WAR WOUNDED FOUNDATION.

A Half marathan race was performed by War Wounded veterans on 30-9-2012 . The race was led by Gen.Vijaoy Oberoi (retd).

The Chief Minister of Delhi had wished them before start of the race.

They ran in the Great Delhi run as a group and completed the full race of  7 kilometers.

A VERY HAPPY NEWS FOR AIR FORCE VETERANS

A seperate DIRECTORATE for Air Force veterans has been inaugurated.

this Directorate would be committed to looking after the Pensionary and Welfare aspects of all the retired Air force Personnel.

It is a welcome steps.

We, all the Air Veterans applaud this move and we wish the Directorate to deliver the goods in real
spirit to cater for the welfare for our Air veterans.

YET ANOTHER AGGRIEVED HONY.LT HELPED.

Hony.Lt.A.Kalinathan is expressing his sincere thanks to our Trust liaison Officer Sgt.S.Kanthiah.

An aggrieved Hony.Lt. called on our Trust office and reported that , in spite of his repeated representation to his PDA and higher officials, the Pension was not revised till date.

On verifying his service records and PPO, we noticed that he is eligible for Basic pension of Rs.13296 with effect from 1-1-2006, whereas he is being paid only Rs.11789/- thus a difference of rs.1507/- per month in basic pension alone.

We have taken up the discrepancy to his PDA, their CPPC , Customer service centre at Chennai, for immediate revision and payment of arrears.

The worried Hony.Lt was very much pleased and appreciated our efforts towards his problem and thanked our Trust for this help. 

INVOLVEMENT OF SERVICE CHIEFS IN ESM WELFARE.

முன்னாள் படை வீரர்களின் நலன் காப்பதில் நம் படைத்தளபதிகளின் பங்கு என்ன? உண்மையாக சொன்னால், முன்னாள் படை வீரர்களின் நலன் காப்பது நமது படை தளபதிகளின் கடமை. ஆனால் நடைமுறையில் நம் படை தளபதிகளுக்கும் முன்னாள் படை வீரர்களுக்கும் எந்த ஒரு தொடர்பும் இருப்பதுபோல் தெரியவில்லை. ஆனால் எழுத்துபூர்வமாக அனைத்து பணிகளும் இந்த முப்படை தளபதிகளுக்கே வழங்கபடுகிறது. உதாரணத்துக்கு ராணுவ அமைச்சகத்தின் கீழ் இயங்கும் முன்னாள் ராணுவத்தினர் நலத்துறை (Department of Ex-servicemen Welfare) எந்த ஒரு கடிதத்தையும் முப்படை தளபதிகளுக்கே அனுப்புகிறது. ஆனால் எந்த ஒரு கடிதத்தையும் இந்த தளபதிகள், அரசால் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு சங்கத்துக்கு கூட அனுப்புவதில்லை. (IESL, AFA, NAVAL FOUNDATION) இந்த கடிதங்கள் பென்சன் சம்பந்தப்பட்டதாக இருந்தால் பல நாட்கள் கழித்து சி.டி.எ அலகாபாத் இணைய தளம் மூலம் கிடைக்கிறது. ராணுவ அமைச்சகத்தின் இணைய தளத்தில் எதுவும் வெளியிடபடுவதில்லை. அதே போல் அதன் கீழ் இயங்கும் முன்னாள் ராணுவத்தினர் நலத்துறைக்கு ஒரு தனி இணையதளமே கிடையாது. அதே சமயத்தில் சிவிலியன் பணியாளர்கள் நலன் பேணும் ஓய்வூதிய நலத்துறை அருமையான இணைய தளத்தை பராமரித்து வருகிறது. (DEPARTMENT OF PENSION AND PENSIONERS WELFARE) பென்சனர்ஸ் போர்டல் (PENSIONERS PORTAL) என்று தொடங்கப்பட்ட இணைய தளம் ராணுவ பென்சனர்களுக்கு முன்னுரிமை கொடுப்பதில்லை. முப்படைகளுக்கும் தனித்தனியாக சொந்தமான இணைய தளங்கள் இருந்தும், ஒய்வு பெற்ற படை வீரர் பென்சன் பற்றிய ஆணைகள் எதுவும் வெளியிடபடுவதில்லை. குறிப்பாக அதிகாமாக முன்னாள் படைவீரர்களைகொண்ட இந்தியா ராணுவ இணைய தளம் (Indian Army Web Site) தன் படை வீரர்களை கண்டுகொள்வதில்லை. முன்னாள் படை வீரர்களின் மறு வாழ்வுக்காக அமைக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு துறை (Director General of Resettlement) முன்னாள் படைவீரர்களை கொத்தடிமைகளாக, சௌகியதார் வேலைக்கு கண்ட கண்ட தனியார் நிறுவனங்களுக்கும், ஆரசின் பெரிய பெரிய அலுவலகங்களுக்கும் ஒப்பந்த அடிப்படையிலும், தின கூலி அடிப்படையி௮லும் மிக குறைந்த ஊதியத்தில் பணியமர்த்த துணை போகிறது. இந்த கொடுமைக்கு பல ஒய்வு பெற்ற ராணுவ அதிகாரிகளும் துணை போகின்றனர். தட்டி கேட்பார் யாரும் இல்லை. ராணுவ தீர்ப்பாயங்கள் (Armed Forces Tribunal) அகில இந்திய அளவில் தொட ங்கி சுமார் மூன்று ஆண்டுகள் முடிவடையும் தருணத்தில், ஏறக்குறைய 2000 நல்ல தீர்ப்புகள் வழங்கியுள்ளன. எந்த ஒரு தீர்ப்பின் பயனையும் யாரும் பெற்றதாக தகவல் இல்லை. அத்தனை தீர்ப்புகளும் கிடப்பில் போடப்பட்டுள்ளது. நம் தளபதிகள் அதைப்பற்றி கண்டு கொள்ளவே இல்லை. இந்த தீர்ப்புகளை ஏன் இன்னும் அமுல்படுத்த வில்லை என்ற காரணத்தையாவது நம் தளபதிகள் நமக்கு சொல்லவேண்டும். முன்னாள் படை வீரர்களின் நலன் காப்பதும் நமது கடமை என்பது நம் தளபதிகள் மறந்துவிடக்கூடாது. ஏதோ I.E.S.M. என்ற ஒரு நல்ல சங்கம் வந்தது முதல் ஓரளவு நம் முன்னாள் படை வீரர்களிடையே விழிப்புணர்வு வந்துள்ளது. நம் குறைகள் இணைய தளம் மூலம், தொலை காட்சி மூலம், செய்திதாள் மூலம் தெரிகிறது. நமது சங்கம் டெல்லியில் மட்டும் இல்லாமல், எல்லா மாநில தலை நகரங்களிலும் செயல்பட வேண்டும்..
