A Sub Gp-‘Y’ 28 yrs of service .. pension as per Table No; 37 = 11970/-
Whereas a Subedar of post 2006 , same group and 30yrs of service is getting
a pension of Rs.10230/- only.
This is a glaring Anomaly which is to be redressed .
Our Trust has informed this anomaly to the Record office and the CDA, Allahabad.

PLEASE - can you let me know what is the ruling on post 2006 Subedar's pension. It is far less than pre 2006 pensioners. I believe that it has been brought at par with pre 2006 pensioners ie Rs 11970. If so what is the authority?

Qualify Service 28 Years-28 Days
PPO Number S/44547/90-Army
As per PPO:- Service Pension – Rs.1300/-
Commutation – Rs.95057/-
Enhanced Family Pension – Rs.900/-
Normal Family Pension – Rs.450/- w.e.f. 30/09/2007
My Husband pension entitlements are as follows :-
(v) Enhanced family pension @ Rs 3924 pm + DR from 27 Jun 1999 to 31 Mar, 2004.
(vi) Enhanced family pension @ Rs 3924 + DP (1962) + DR from 01 Apr 2004 to 31 Dec, 2005.
(vii) Enhanced family pension @ Rs 9324 + DR from 01 Jan 2006 to 26 Jun 2006.
(viii) Ordinary rate of family pension @ 4770 + DR from 27 Jun 2006 onwards, which was revised by PNB in the month of November, 2011 after the intervention of Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh.
On implementation of 5th CPC, pension was to be consolidated by the PDA in accordance with para 4.1.1 of GOI MOD letter 1(2)/97/D(Pension/Service) dated 27 Nov, 1997 (http://pcdapension.nic.in/VTHCPCORDERS /1997/commorder1.htm, Copy enclosed) which states that the pension/family pension of existing Pre-1996 pensioners / family pensioners will be consolidated with effect from 01 Jan, 1996 by adding together :-
( i) The existing pension / family pension.
(ii) Dearness Relief up to CPI 1510 i.e. @ 148%, 111% and 96% of basic pension as admissible on 1.1.96 vide DP &PW's O.M. No. 12/8/96 - P &PW (G) dated 20.03.96.
(iii) Interim Relief I.
(iv) Interim Relief II.
(v) Fitment weightage @ 40% of the existing pension / family pension i.e., of above.
Question is :-
At the time of death of my husband was getting his Pension Rs.2732 B.P. + 1366 D.P. Total=4098 of June-1999, from Punjab National Bank
So you are humbly requested to clarify that was it the right Pension as per 5th Pay Comm.(Rs.2732 B.P. + 1366 D.P. Total=4098 of June-1999) if not then how much it should be w.e.f. 01-01-2006 ?

ReplyDeleteAs per the amount Rs.900/ 2732 it is for Hony.Nb.Subedar. But you have mentioned as Hony.Sub.Major. It is to be confirmed from the PPO.
Your husband expired in the year 1999, hence there is no question of revision on 1-1-2006.
If the Rank was NHony.Nb.Sub, then the family pension is Rs.3500/- only.
If the Rank was Hony.Sub.Maj, then the family pension is Rs.4770/
If you can send a copy of PPO. we will be able to guide you better,. PPO may be scanned and attached.
