EXTENDING OUR SERVICE FOR THE SECOND TIME FOR WIDOWS

Special Family Pensioners:

Smt.Saraswathy W/O Late Nk.Peria Nayagam

Smt.Amirtham W/O Late Sep.V.Lakshmanan

and
Mrs.Davlath D/O Smt.Masud Bivi

When they called on our office.

DOUBLE BENEFITS ARRANGED BY OUR TRUST TO SPECIAL FAMILY PENSIONERS.

During our visit to Indian Oversea bank, Puliangudi branch, Tirunelveli-Dist, in the year 2008,

We noticed that 5 Special Family pensioners were being paid ordinary family pension of Rs.1275/only instead of Rs.2550/as per V th Pay commission. On our persuasion with the Branch Manager, the pension was revised and each of them received an arrears of Rs.297200/-.

Now, after VI th pay commission, we contacted the same pensioners and came to know that they are again paid less i.e Rs.5763/- instead of Rs.7000/- We could contact only 2 pensioners personally and informed them the short payment and we made arrangement for revision and payment of arrears of Rs.78000/- each by explaining and convincing the branch manager,

1) Smt.Saraswathy W/O Late Nk.S.Perianayagam(7994334) Pioneer Corps.

PPO.No.F/ 3719/70 PDA- IOB Puliangudi SB No.16245

PPO.No.F/ 3103/80 PDA –IOB Puliangudi- SB No. 21919

We are trying to contact the other 2 more SPL.F.pensioners to help in getting their dues also.

This is yet another achievement of our persistent efforts of our trust.

We expect our other ESM associations also to extend such helps to the poor widows.

  1. By going through your blog we fell there are many more such Special Family pensioners are getting short payment through out the country. God alone knows who will those people. Unless some kind of mechanism to monitor the correct payment and awareness among the pensioners there will be no remedy.

  2. Now it is confirmed by a number of cases that the banks are not paying the correct pension and arrears to the defence pensioners and family pensioners. Arrears amounting to some thousands of rupees being claimed (in some cases in lakhs). The banks don't regret for their mistake. How long this will continue ? What is the solution ? Please think it over. We have to do something to sort out this problem.
