ONE MORE VISIT BY OUR TRUST MEMBERS TO HELP
YET ANOTHER WIDOW PENSIONER.
YET ANOTHER WIDOW PENSIONER.
Sgt.Kanthiah (retd), our Chief Liaison Officer was called for assisting in calculation of arrears as per CDA Cir.430 by Indian Overseas bank, Maharajanagar branch, Tirunelveli-District, Tamil Nadu where he noticed that 0ne Widow Smt.Grace w/o Late Hony.Captain J.Rajendran was being paid a basic pension of Rs.7357/- instead of 8310/-as per CDA Cir 403.
The discrepancy was informed to the manager and he readily agreed to revise the pension and pay the arrears early. Particulars of pensioner :
Smt.Grace W/O Late Hony.Captain JC-63983 PPO.No,S/CORR/108121/2001
PDA- IOB , MAHARAJANAGAR, 627011, Tirunelveli-District, Tamil Nadu
SB A/cNo.15490.
Our Chief Admin.Officer MP.Natarajan and Chief Liaison Officer visited the pensioner’s residence and inquired about her health . She was living alone as her both the sons are employed and living elsewhere. When we informed her about the short payment of pension and an arrears of about 57561/-she was taken aback as she was not aware of her entitlement. She thanked us for the visit and helping at the door step and performed a prayer for good health of Trust members.
This an another achievement for our Trust.
The Exwel Trust is doing a commendable job. The other Exsm. Welfare Organisations should follow them. It seems all the volunteers of the Exwel Trust are aged. I am afraid, as to who will follow this after them. It is high time that the Trust should pick some un-employed youth and train them on pension matters to help them. The Trust should try to publish a Book on Defence Pension which will be helpful to all.
ReplyDeleteMy Good wishes to all the members of the Exwel Trust.
