Our Chief Liaison Officer Sgt.S.Kanthiah ( Retd) is handing over a copy of the arrears calculation sheet to the War Injury Veteran VM.Kandan
Ex.Sepoy.V,M,Kandan, No.8002935, of Pioneer Records, who had lost his right hand
while in action in addition to the damaged other hand during the 1962 war, was sanctioned 100% Disability pension( WAR iNJURY ) vide PPO No.D/742/72. Susequently the Disability element was revised Vide PPO Nos. D/BC/ 6033/2002 and D/BC/IP/10723/2007. He was not paid the eligible pension as it was under a special clause ( Service element plus Diseligiblity Element should not exceed the Emolument drawn by the Rank and group)The PDA could not arrive the correct rate of pension in this case.
We took up the case with the Pioneer record office and CDA Allahabad. After a prolonged correspondence, we were able to get his correct rate of pension with effect from 1-1-2006. We calculated the arrears amounting to Rs.185343/- We contacted the Senior Manager of Canara Bank, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli-Dist, Tamil Nadu and explained the happenings, with records and he was convinced with our submission. He was kind enough to arrange to revise the pension and pay the arrears immediately for which action our Trust expressed its gratitude to hm.
It is a great achievement of our Trust and the War Injury Pensioner was so delighted to receive such a huge amount of arrears and thanked our Trust for this untiring efforts of our Trust.
